‘Bachelor’ Spoilers Wrong: Reality Steve Reacts To Nick Viall News

Bachelor spoilers were oh-so-very wrong prior to the new season, much to the delight of many Bachelor fans. During Tuesday night’s episode of After Paradise, the watching world learned that the new Bachelor would not be Luke Pell or Chase McNary, as previously suspected. Instead, producers of the super-popular dating show went a completely different route causing shock waves all around.

Nick V. has come very close to finding his happily ever on not one but two seasons of The Bachelorette. He first fell in love with Andi Dorfman but was left heartbroken when she dumped him for Josh Murray on the finale. Deciding to try again, Nick V. showed up on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season, fell in love, and was left heartbroken once more as Kaitlyn accepted a proposal from Shawn Booth, sending Nick home.

Well, Bachelor spoilers predicted that Luke Pell would take the helm after JoJo Fletcher sent him home on her season. Fans were pretty split on the rumored choice, many feeling that the season would be an absolute snore. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, the southern gent and war veteran seemed like a lovely man, but he lacked that on-screen charisma needed to carry an entire season of The Bachelor.

Fans of the show who read Reality Steve‘s Bachelor spoilers were probably convinced that Luke was the final decision. Heck, Reality Steve believed it 110 percent!

“No, I didn’t see it coming. If I did, I would’ve told you…Here’s my take. They interviewed all three guys, all three guys had meetings with producers, and they ultimately decided on Nick. Their decision to make, plenty of people are talking about it, plenty of people love it, plenty of people hate it – but they’re talking about it. Huge buzz around it and that’s all they care about…They chose Nick because they can and we’ll watch. Simple as that,” Reality Steve said in his Aug. 31 blog post.

Bachelor spoilers will still be available through Reality Steve despite the major curveball thrown by producers. He insists that the cast has already been chosen and that the decision to name Nick Viall The Bachelor means very little when it comes to how the show works. The only difference this season is that producers picked a Bachelor who everyone knows really well — it wasn’t just someone from last season of The Bachelorette, which is how the new love-seeker is generally chosen.

“The decision to cast Nick, or the fact that I didn’t know about Nick beforehand doesn’t change anything once the season starts. I will spoil it in real time as much as I can, filming will end, I’ll tie up a few loose ends then give you the episode-by-episode spoilers well before the first episode airs,” Reality Steve said.

Bachelor spoilers did nothing but help ABC and give the show major publicity. Everyone is talking about Nick Viall this week and people seem very split on the decision. As for why producers decided to go with Nick, Bachelor host Chris Harrison gave some insight during his interview with Good Morning America earlier today.

“At the end of the day, when we were discussing all of the candidates — and Luke and Chase were definitely on the board — it just got down to that final question of ‘Who is the most deserving? Who is the most sincere? Who have we watched time and time again come on the show to find love and come up short each and every time?’ We all just kept coming back to Nick, and it’s just crazy enough to work,” Harrison said. “It might be the most dramatic season ever,” he added.
