Chris Brown Police Standoff: Officers Seize Drugs, Weapons, Singer Responds With Instagram Rant, ‘I’m Innocent’

Chris Brown has officially responded to the ongoing police presence outside of his Tarzana home after reportedly being accused of threatening a woman with a weapon early Tuesday morning.

Los Angeles police are currently awaiting approval for a warrant to search Brown’s home for the reported weapon, which one woman is claiming that Chris Brown used to point at her during a “violent rage” before she was able to phone police regarding the encounter, the Los Angeles Times reports.

Officers responded to the woman’s call for help at 3 a.m. and have since been parked outside of Brown’s home after being told by Chris that they would need a warrant in order to search the property. As of yet, Chris Brown has not left his home although several sources revealed to TMZ that Brown had been “defiant” in responding to police orders and even threw a duffel bag outside of the window before taunting cops with the message, “Come and get me.” TMZ is currently live streaming outside of Chris Brown’s home where they say police are “waiting for [Brown] to surrender.”

Currently, several reports have suggested that police have recovered at least one gun in addition to other weapons and drugs from Brown’s home, although E! News claims that police have not yet confirmed whether or not the bag was filled with drugs and weapons. The site further explains that police are currently working with representatives for Chris Brown in an attempt to make contact with the singer inside of his home concerning the criminal assault investigation, albeit noting Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, could not be reached for comment. Rather, Setara Qassim, a criminal defense attorney for the Geragos & Geragos law firm, was seen arriving at Chris Brown’s home with a police escort earlier this afternoon.

Shortly after news of the police standoff hit social media, Chris Brown took to Instagram to share a series of expletive-filled videos in which he claims he’s innocent and that the woman in question is merely making allegations in an attempt to get publicity.

“So I’m asleep half the damn night, I just wake up, all these motherf****** helicopter choppers is around, police out there at the gate. Come on my n****, what the f*** else do y’all want from me? I stay out the way, take care of my daughter, do work. I don’t even f*** ugly b******, triflin’ b*******, whatever the f*** it is. I’m not on that bro, I’m way too tired to want to be dealing with this bull****.”

Brown continues, “Every three months y’all come up with something bro, what is it? What’s gonna be next? At the same time, when I call the police for stalker people that are endangering my life, they don’t come until the next day. Let somebody make a f***** up allegation about me and oh yeah, the whole SWAT team. My n**** I’m innocent, f*** everybody. I’m tired of hearing this s***.”

In his second video, Chris Brown denies having “barricaded” himself in his house and notes that he doesn’t feel the need to exit his home to address the police presence because he maintains his innocence in the investigation.

“I ain’t did s***, I ain’t gon’ do shit, and it’s always going to be fuck the police. Black lives matter, n****. I don’t care, y’all gon stop playing with me like I’m going crazy, I’m not. You guys got me f***** up though, so good luck, when you get the warrant or whatever you need to do you gon’ walk right up in here and you gon’ see nothing you idiots. I’m tired of f****** dealing with y’all,” Chris Brown explains.

In addition, Brown uploaded a third video in which he claims that the attention surrounding his alleged involvement in the criminal assault investigation is only giving him “more publicity” before taking the opportunity to promote his newest single, “Grass Ain’t Greener,” and the corresponding music video that dropped on Friday.

According to witnesses, Ray J was also present at Chris Brown’s home at the time of the police’s arrival and later took to Instagram to comment on the situation while condemning the woman who accused Chris Brown of pointing a gun at her.

We will update with more information as it becomes available.
