Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Cancel Summer Wedding Plans: Is Their Engagement Off?

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly postponed what would’ve been a lavish summer wedding ceremony out in California, it has been claimed.

The couple, who were said to have gotten engaged again back in January after rekindling their love for another, have both agreed that getting married this year is impossible with their hectic work schedules.

Miley argued that she’s so busy with her forthcoming duties to co-mentor acts on NBC’s The Voice that she’s been neglecting her wedding plans because of it. And if that wasn’t bad enough, Liam Hemsworth’s career has skyrocketed this year — he wants his main priority to be with his day job, and Miley couldn’t agree more.

This doesn’t mean that the couple is heading for a sudden split, a source tells Hollywood Life. The twosome just happened to realize that getting married at a time where both of their careers are booming through the roof would be a reckless decision. Besides, neither Miley or Liam is in any rush to tie the knot, so even if the wedding doesn’t happen for another year, the couple is totally fine with that.

“As much as they both want a wedding to happen soon, this year doesn’t appear to be the time for it to happen,” a source assures the outlet. “They are working towards making their relationship the strongest it can be and making sure when they do get married that it is forever. They don’t want any option for a spilt or divorce.”

Miley Cyrus is still madly in love with Liam, despite IBTimes claiming otherwise, and thinks that the idea of postponing the wedding ceremony makes sense for the both of them. Not just because of scheduling conflicts but also for the fact that they’ve only been back together for eight months; there’s no need to rush into anything if it doesn’t happen naturally.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Miley Cyrus had purchased a multi-million dollar home out in Malibu, where Liam has been residing for the last couple of years. The twosome are not sharing a house together, but they are practically said to be neighbors. Again, the reason behind that is simply down to Cyrus and her fiance taking it one step at a time.

Miley Cyrus and Hemsworth have been inseparable since confirming their relationship status back in January, after returning from their trip to Australia together. Sources affirm that Miley is completely smitten by Hemsworth; she’s beyond glad that he remained single following their split in 2013 because she’s totally matured and thinks Liam sees that, too.

Gone are the days where Miley Cyrus would shock her fans with raunchy outfits and twerk-filled dance moves. She’s dropped that image and has gone back to who she truly is: the person Liam initially fell in love with.

As previously revealed, the former Hannah Montana star is planning to get back in the studio before the year’s end to work on her follow-up to Bangerz, which spanned hits including “Wrecking Ball,” “SMS” ft Britney Spears, and “Adore You.”

What do you make of Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth putting their wedding plans on hold to focus their attention on their careers? Is it a wise move, or should they have just tied the knot and got it over and done with?
