Ann Coulter And Whoopi Goldberg Argue About Race On ‘The View’ [Video]
Ann Coulter has made a few interesting comments over the last few days. She said that women, Latinos and the LGBT community didn’t deserve civil rights because they didn’t go through slavery. She also said that people like Lawrence O’Donnell and Bill Maher only date black girls because of white guilt. Well, when the Fox News pundit appeared on The View today, Whoopi Goldberg had a few things to say to her.
Coulter appeared on the show to talk about her new book, Mugged: Racial Demagoguery from the Seventies to Obama. The book talks about the black experience in America, which, according to Whoopi, Coulter has no right to write about.
Coulter said that her book wasn’t trying to talk about what it’s like to be black. Instead, the book is about how “white liberals” use (race to) promote causes that have nothing to do with blacks and, in fact, harm blacks.”
Goldberg said: “Please stop, please stop. If you’re going to talk about race, at least know what you’re talking about. Tell me how much you know about being black. You just made all these statements about how black people feel.
Coulter said:” This isn’t a book about black people. It’s a book about white liberals.”
Mediate reports that Coulter set off another round of arguments when she said that liberals have never cared about black people.
Coulter said: “I don’t think liberals ever cared about black people. Five minutes after the Civil Rights Act of ’64 passed, they start calling everything that has nothing to do with black people a ‘civil rights issue.’”

All right. Man says the Southern Strategy is a myth. That means she hasn't read about the Nixon campaign of '68, much more ably chronicled by Kevin Phillips. someone who was there and who says most definitely the Repubs were targeting conservative white voters in the South. She says the segregationist Democrats were liberals, which is laughable to anyone who knows anything about the leading segregationists of the time, Richard Russell, James Eastland, John Bell Williams, Howard W. Smith, John Rankin, et al., etc., who were at least if not more conservative than any conservative Republican serving simultaneously in the Congress. She fails to mention that the segregationist Dems such as Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond converted to the GOP (Helms before he sought elected office). She's a thoroughly dishonest woman who plays fast and easy with the facts and loves, no, craves, attention. The saddest part of it all is that she gets it.

It was more closely associated with Progressives of today where as the Democrats, AKA," Dixiecrats" where more like the Conservatives. 60 years later and the roles have been reversed, so your point is invalid. Jesse Jackson has been a Democrat for at the very least the last 28 years, and I'm not certain about him having any Republican registration. Genocide typically refers to a large group of people, of specific ethnicity or nationality, or "race murder." So that term does not apply here.

There was essentially no special teaching or training for "learning disabled," children until the mid 70's, so she missed that boat. The fact she had become so successful proves her intelligence and talent, and neither can be found in a book or on a certificate. Sean Schafer, yes & I read where Ann basically won that argument. Being, that Whoopi made a fool out of herself & had to cuss constantly & didn't she end up walking out? What does that say about her. Maria, Whoopi just seems like she doesn't like anyone that is white & a conservative to even mention the blacks. It has happen a lot with Liberals, because Obama being half black. It's a sad world we live in today. There is such more division amongst blacks & whites now, it's sad. But, I blame that partly on Obama and the First Lady. IMO. That's right Charlene. Voters need to educate themselves on whom to vote for. Don't just vote for Obama because he's black, gives you free stuff. Vote for whomever you feel will best turn this economy around & get American's back to work. That SHOULD BE the MOST important issue of all this Election! So, I'm hoping & praying that people will be voting on that, and NOT because Obama's black & will continue to give 'freebies' out. That is only going to bankrupt this Country more. Having more jobs in this Country so our people can work again, & our youth can get jobs & College graduates can get a job in the field of study that they went to school for.
