Reese Witherspoon Gives Birth To Son, Tennessee James

Reese Witherspoon gave birth to a son, Tennessee James, on Thursday. A media representative for the actress reports that both momma and the little bundle of joy are doing just fine. The Legally Blonde star has two children from her first marriage, Ava, 13 and Deacon, 8. The baby boy if the first child for Witherspoon and her new husband, Jim Toth. The couple got married last March at her Ojai Ranch in California.

A PEOPLE Magazine source claims that, right after Witherspoon and Toth were married, the actress expressed her desire to have a baby with her new husband. She was reportedly very open with Ava and Deacon about expanding their loving family.

Although Reese Witherspoon initially attempted to keep her pregnancy under wraps, nothing stays quiet in Hollywood for long. Once eager paparazzi published photos of her baby bump, fans from around the world began clamoring for details about the leading lady’s newest addition.

The Oscar-winning star was admitted to the hospital late into her pregnancy in August but reportedly did not have any complications with the delivery. While waiting for Tennessee James to arrive, Reese spent some low-key time with her children and husband. Prior to the August hospital stay, she was kept quite busy attending the Cannes Film Festival, enjoying the beauty of Drew Barrymore’s wedding day and shooting Devil’s Knot in Atlanta, according to E! Online.

Although she tried very hard to keep the details of her pregnancy private, she did jokingly tell the Chicago Sun-Times that she was feeling “very round” during a summer interview.
