‘The Flash’ Season 3: Release Date, Trailer Shows New Villain Is Dr. Alchemy Or Savitar
The Flash Season 3 is going to be a new start and we will see the consequences of Barry Allen’s actions. The promo teases the new threat Barry has created by going back in time to save his mother.
Season 3 of The Flash release date is on Tuesday, October 4 2016 on the CW.
There are expected to be two new villains in the third season. The promo shows a hooded figure for a second who is probably Dr. Alchemy or the speedster Savitar.
Barry Allen took the risk of changing the future by saving his mother. The trailer shows that he managed to keep his family together. However, in this world, Iris doesn’t know who Barry. The teaser shows The Flash getting to know Iris before the Alchemist does something to Barry that is not explained.
Cisco Ramone is also a wealthy man is his world and Barry Allen needs his help. The only problem is that they don’t know each other in this world.

The trailer shows Wally as Kid Flash at least in the trailer. However, the trailer shows that Wally is in an alternate timeline, which means that if Barry finds a way to return to the normal timeline, Wally West will be the same as he was in Season 2.
Wally was exposed to the dark matter but has not shown any signs of his abilities yet. Perhaps we will see Wally West become Kid Flash in Season 3.
There are a few new villains coming in Season 3, which premiers in October. Joey King revealed on Twitter that she is playing Magenta.
As the name suggest, her powers have something to do with magnetic energy, similar to Magneto.
Another speedster Savitar is coming for Barry Allen. In an interview with IGN, one of the show’s producers explained why Savitar is different from the other evil speedsters we have seen in the series so far:
“Savitar is more of a psychological villain in a weird way. I think the Hindu word for Savitar means God of Speed; he’s all about speed. Everything about this guy is different. I can’t go into super detail, but he’s not like Zoom or Reverse Flash.”
The producer Todd Hellbing also revealed that Savitar may team up with Dr. Alchemy because they have the same goal, which is most likely killing Barry Allen.
Helbing also revealed that Dr. Alchemy will not be as dark as Zoom and will bring a shocking moment to viewers:
“Last year we got pretty dark with Zoom, and I think we want to go back to more of a Season 1 lightness to it. We still need those darker moments, and I think when you find out what Alchemy is doing, it sort of provides that “holy s**t” moment that we really love to have on our show.”
Tom Felton from Harry Potter has also joined the cast for The Flash Season 3 and will portray Julian Dorn. Julian is a CSI from Central City, who believes there is more to Barry Allen than meets the eye.
He certainly won’t be the first person to discover Barry is the Flash.
Tom Cavanagh who played Harrison Wells is back for Season 3, and it will be interesting to see which role Wells plays in the next season and the version of him we are going to get.
It seems like there will be more of Earth 2 as Jesse Wells will be returning as well.
We are yet to find out whether Wally West or Jesse develop their powers from having contact with dark matter.
The Flash Season 3 will be released on October 4th, so bookmark the date.
