Anne Hathaway To Sing ‘Cabaret’ In One-Night-Only Broadway Event

Anne Hathaway will get a chance to show off her singing chops live in New York, and anyone who wants to watch just has to shell out between $100 and $300.

The actress and star of the upcoming Les Miserables,Anne Hathaway will be performing songs from the musical Cabaret for a one-night only event in October, The Associated Press reported. The concert is meant to celebrate the revitalization of the downtown home of The Public Theatre.

The one-night-only NYC event, called Perfectly Marvelous: The Songs of Cabaret with Anne Hathaway and Friends, will take place October 24, Entertainment Weekly reported.

In an announcement about the event, The Public says Hathaway will perform several different numbers from the iconic musical, including “Willkommen,” ”Cabaret,” ”Maybe This Time” and “Perfectly Marvelous” at Joe’s Pub.

Tickets for Anne Hathaway’s performance range from $100 to $300 and include food and drinks. They are on sale starting October 2 through the Public Theater’s website.

Hathaway is no stranger to performing in The Public Theatre productions. In 2009 she appeared in Twelfth Night, part of the Public’s Shakespeare in the Park series. The actress has mostly devoted herself to film, appearing in the summer blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises and recently finished work on Les Miserables with Hugh Jackman and Russel Crowe.

She said she looks forward to returning to the stage and celebrating the theater’s mission.

“I am delighted to reunite with The Public for this special night to celebrate the theater’s rededication, and support its mission to spread great theater to all the people of New York (tourists are welcome too),” Anne Hathaway said in a press release.
