Selena Gomez ‘Never Used’ Justin Bieber For Fame Contrary To What He Claims In Their Instagram Feud

According to a source by Mirror, Gomez never used her past relationship with the “Sorry” hitmaker to prop up her career, contrary to what he claimed in their recently-concluded Instagram war.

In fact, it was Bieber who put their past romance out there, the source claimed.

“They’re both young and have made mistakes, but she has never used him,” the source said. “He put their relationship out there way more than she ever did.”

Since they broke up, Bieber regularly posted throwback photos of his past romance with Gomez. While it seemed like a kindly gesture on Justin’s part, the source said that it was done as a means to “get at her.”

“Whenever something good is happening in her life, he’ll post something to get at her,” according to the source.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had a much-publicized romance that lasted five years. They broke up in 2014.

But now the two former sweethearts are lashing out at each other on Instagram, causing a fan frenzy that caused many “Beliebers” to side with Selena over Bieber.

This is how the Instagram feud between the two started.

Over the weekend, Bieber, 22, shared black and white Instagram photos of himself and rumored girlfriend Sofia Richie. Many of his followers, however, pointed out their disapproval of his relationship with Richie. Some of the comments made against Lionel Richie’s 17-year-old daughter were nothing short of nasty.

Having read some of the negative remarks, Bieber followed up the photo with another one, this time writing a caption threatening fans that he’s going set his Instagram page to private if they didn’t “stop the hate” toward Richie and toward people that he likes. He even noted that they wouldn’t hate on the people that he likes if they are true fans.

The caption didn’t sit well with most of his fans. And, suddenly, to the surprise of many, in Selena comes with a comment of her own.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only. Don’t be mad at your fans. They love you.”

Feeling slighted by his ex’s response, Bieber hit back at her with a reply of his own. This is where the exchange got even more ugly.

“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still trying to point the finger this way. Sad. All love. I’m not one for anyone receiving hate,” Bieber wrote.

Selena didn’t take the scathing attack lying down, as she hinted at how Bieber cheated on her multiple times in her next reply.

“Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” Selena hits back.

Justin then slammed Selena again by writing: “I cheated… Oh I forgot about You and Zayn [Malik]?”

“Beliebers” took Gomez’s words to heart. Before long, they rallied around the “Kill Em with Kindness” singer, with many of them tweeting the hashtag #SelenaEndedJustinParty. The feud took Twitter by storm, with fans tweeting the most hilarious tweets as they shared their thoughts on the row between the two.

On Monday night, Bieber made good on his threat as he set his Instagram page to private. It didn’t last long, however, as Justin took things further by deleting the entire Instagram page, as reported by BBC.

Before he deleted his account, Bieber unfollowed his ex-girlfriend Hailey Baldwin on Instagram, which according to People made the model “super upset.”

Baldwin weighed in on the Instagram drama involving Bieber by posting her thoughts on Instagram, saying that people should “take complete responsibility for our actions” and not put “the blame onto someone else.”
