Keshia Knight Pulliam Accuses Estranged Husband Ed Hartwell Of Trying To Harm Their Unborn Baby

Keshia Knight Pulliam has accused her estranged husband, Ed Hartwell of trying to induce a miscarriage.

According to a TMZ report, the former Cosby star alleges that she was subject to cruel treatment that could harm her unborn baby:

“Keshia claims in divorce docs Ed “has been plotting to harm and obstruct [her] pregnancy” by engaging in “certain underhanded and unusual conduct” that would trigger a miscarriage.”

Ed Hartwell accused Keshia of infidelity and has doubts that the child is his. He also spoke about being pressured into having a child early in their marriage. However, according to the TMZ report, Pulliam accused her estranged husband of cheating and abuse in their divorce documents.

“Ed was constantly cursing, yelling and demeaning her. She says he also had affairs with multiple women, including a former baby mama.”

Keshia wants the court to give her an order of protection. She also stated that the couple have several registered firearms and she wants him to turn over all his guns to her.

Keshia, who is five months pregnant, also wants Ed Hartwell to undergo a mental evaluation.

The issues in their short marriage seem to stem from the pregnancy. Ed Hartwell told Page Six about how the couple got married quickly without much dating and he wanted Keshia, who is 37 years old, to wait before having a child.

“She wanted a baby really fast, and what I was trying to explain to her was that — from my beliefs, from seeing other successful people — that when you first get married, especially since we didn’t have a long courtship, that we should actually focus on each other and not just have a baby. That’s something she really did want to do.”

Keisha Knight Pulliam became the youngest recipient of an Emmy Award for her portrayal of Rudy Huxtable in The Cosby Show. It is unclear whether the couple talked about having children before tying the knot or whether at the age of 37, it is unlikely that she will wait to have a child.

In the interview, Hartwell suggest that the couple made a mistake getting married so quickly and tells the publication that their lives are going separate ways.

“I said, ‘I think we probably messed up. I think we moved too fast,'” he told Page Six, “‘Our lives and wants are headed two different directions.'”

Hartwell also revealed that Pulliam was upset when he admitted to having feelings for his ex who had lost a baby.

“All she was a mad about was, ‘You don’t want to have a baby, but you’re mad about her baby. You can’t talk to her 13-year-old daughter. And there was a big fall-out.”

Hartwell then suggest that she started going out with friends and sometimes not returning home. Her estranged husband also accused her of attempting to have a child by any means even without himself.

This brought the former NFL player to the conclusion that she may have had a child outside of their marriage.

“As time kept going past and the days went past, some things just weren’t adding up. So for me it’s not me saying she’s a bad person,” he said. “She wants what she wants, I want what I want: she wants a baby, I want to find love and happiness. But at the end of the day, I think if things don’t add up, I think it’s fair for me, if things don’t add up, to want a test.”

Pulliam has denied having an affair and says that the child belongs to Hartwell. The Cosby star’s ex Big Tigger defended her and branded Hartwell “corny” for abandoning his unborn child and slandering her character.
