The latest promotional clip for AMC’s hit drama The Walking Dead is only 30 seconds long, but it certainly packs a punch. Sandwiched in-between the copious amounts of critical praise are some shockingly violent scenes, suggesting that the series won’t be pulling any punches when it returns to the small screen next month.
The preview, which is hosted by Mashable, gives viewers a glimpse of where the story and its cast of characters are headed this season. The embedded clip shows our heroes battling zombies outside of a prison, an area where they hope to take shelter. Not surprisingly, someone may have already laid claim to the property, a fact which may complicate matters considerably.
If waiting until October 14 to get your Walking Dead fix seems like too much to ask, USA Reports that special effects guru Greg Nicotero is slated to premiere his tie-in web series Cold Storage on October 1.
The series has been described as follows:
“Cold Storage tells the story of a young man, Chase (played by Josh Stewart), trying to reach his sister in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. He finds temporary shelter in a storage facility run by a former employee named B.J. (Daniel Roebuck); however, things are not what they appear.”
If you consider yourself to be an adventurous soul, you can always take a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood or Universal Orlando Resort and enjoy scare-filled Halloween maze “The Walking Dead: Dead Inside.” According to IGN, Halloween Horror Nights creative director John Murdy said the event will make people feel as though they “stepped in the TV screen and are trapped in that world.”
AMC’s The Walking Dead, which has quickly become one of the most popular series in cable television history, will add a bloody touch to your October viewing schedule on October 4. Are you excited about the season three premiere?
