Paris Hilton Totally Didn’t Mean Disgusting In A Bad Way, Says Rep

Paris Hilton made some disgusting comments today about the gay community, but, according to her publicist, the star’s words weren’t meant to be negative.

You know, just like “that’s so hot” doesn’t actually refer to temperature, the phrase “gay guys are disgusting and are all going to die of aids” means, like, you know, they’re cool and stuff.

Hilton’s publicist said:

“Paris Hilton is a huge supporter of the gay community and would never purposefully make any negative statements about anyone’s sexual orientation.”

The rep said that Paris was expressing her concern for the gay community when she made her derogatory comments.

The rep added:

“Paris Hilton’s comments were to express that it is dangerous for anyone to have unprotected sex that could lead to a life threatening disease.”

The Inquisitr reported earlier that Hilton was overheard talking to a gay friend about the app Grindr. The app offers “quick, convenient, and discreet” connections for gay men and women.

Paris’ friend says:

“Say I log into Grindr, someone that’s on Grindr can be in that building and it tells you all the locations of where they are and you can be like, ‘Yo, you wanna f–k?’ and he might be on like, the sixth floor.”

Paris said:

“Gay guys are the horniest people in the world… They’re disgusting. Dude, most of them probably have AIDS. I would be so scared if I were a gay guy… You’ll like, die of AIDS.”

Hilton’s rep said that the exchange initially reported by Radar Online only gave the first half of the conversation. The rep said:

“The conversation became heated, after a close gay friend told her in a cab ride, a story about a gay man who has AIDS and is knowingly having unprotected sex … He also discussed a website that encourages random sex by gay men with strangers. As she was being shown the website, her comments were in reference to those people promoting themselves on the site.”
