Brad Pitt Dreams Of Work In Bollywood

Brad Pitt is already sitting at the top of the Hollywood A-list, despite reportedly receiving an ever-shrinking paycheck in recent years. Still, the actor has consistently dominates critics and the box office, and has set his sights on another conquest: Bollywood.

Brad Pitt joins the likes of fellow A-listers Tom Cruise and Hugh Jackman in expressing his desire to work in Indian cinema (popularly referred to as “Bollywood”) reports The Hollywood Reporter.

“Indian cinema seems to be growing very well at its own pace. I would love to work in a Bollywood film as there is so much drama and color in the films there,” Pitt told Indian news agency IANS in an email interview. “The filmmaking, I hear, has evolved a lot in India, and of late we have witnessed some good films making a presence at the Oscars and the world stage.”

The 48-year-old continued:

“That tells you a lot about the quality of the actors and the films. You never know when I might decide to work in a Bollywood film and do one of those dance numbers with the whole crew in the backdrop.”

Pitt has briefly brushed shoulders with Bollywood before, having almost co-starred in 2007’s Troy with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who turned down a part in the film.

“Given a chance, I would like to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, because she’s a versatile actor,” Pitt said. “She is one of the most popular actresses of Bollywood, who has achieved huge acclaim in the west for her style, beauty and acting skills. I think we missed an opportunity to be cast together for Troy,” he lamented.

Pitt’s upcoming project Killing Them Softly opens in India on October 5. Do you think that Brad Pitt could do Bollywood?
