Kanye West Didn’t Write ‘Famous’ Lyric? Why He’s Really Mad At Taylor Swift

New secrets about Kanye West’s controversial new song “Famous” have emerged. According to a new report, the rapper didn’t even write that lyric about Taylor Swift. However, that doesn’t mean he’s still not angry that she denied giving him the OK over using the lyrics.

On Sunday, July 31, a new report in The Mirror revealed that Kanye West didn’t even write the lyric that reignited his feud with Taylor Swift. A source close to the superstar rapper told the British tabloid that West, 38, didn’t have a hand in writing the infamous track, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/Why? I made that b**** famous.”

According to The Sun on Sunday, Rihanna’s ex-PR manager, Jonathan Hay, claims that the lyric was actually written by Cyhi The Prynce, Cydel Young, who is also credited as a songwriter on the track.

“The lyrics are written by Cydel. Kanye got all the backlash but he isn’t even the one who wrote them. Cydel lays down the lines and Kanye will OK them and perform them.”

Fans are still not too happy that Kanye is fine with using the controversial lyric in his song. He also refuses to settle his feud with Taylor. He made a recent appearance at Drake’s concert in Chicago on Wednesday night, July 27, when he dissed the singer. Before Kanye performed the song, he praised his wife Kim Kardashian for revealing the truth on Snapchat.

It all went down last month when the reality star took to the social media app to post clips of West’s conversation with Swift. In the recorded conversations, Swift is telling West that she’s fine with the lyrics, although she insists she never heard the song in full, and didn’t approve of the “that b****” line.

That night, West told the audience, “All I gotta say is, I am so glad my wife has Snapchat, because now y’all can know the truth and can’t nobody talk s*** about ‘Ye no more.”

Although he didn’t really write the lyrics, he was angry when Taylor denied ever OK’ing the lyrics, according to a new report via Hollywood Life. Kanye feels that he’s been going “crazy” ever since Taylor denied the whole thing on Instagram. According to his new interview on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1, Kanye said that since he received so much flack for releasing the song, he decided to give his side of the story.

“People say, Kanye [West] he’s so crazy, he’s this, he’s that. People call you crazy so much you start to believe it yourself. I got in so much trouble for saying the truth out loud, I thought maybe I should give up on my truth.”

The rapper also believes that his feud with Swift has prevented him from collaborating with Ikea. During that same interview, as quoted by Complex, West revealed why he thinks the collaboration should happen, and why it will never happen now. He said that he still thinks people can’t let go of the time when he crashed the stage while Swift accepted her award at the 2009 VMAs.

“I visited them, and I feel like once they went to the board, people start bringing up, ‘He interrupted this girl and told the truth, so he’s the worst person on the planet. That means I can’t create with Ikea now? Because I say what everyone else is thinking. I’m literally going to be held in some sort of social prison for telling the truth, being slightly rude, or whatever.”

However, Kanye is not backing down without a fight. He said he intends on still collaborating with Ikea in the near future. Kanye has a strong desire for bringing the concept of minimalism and architecture to furniture design.
