Jennifer Garner ‘Did Not Take’ Ben Affleck Back, Source Confirms

Rumors that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are reconciling are buzzing like mad, but there seems to be no truth to those stories. A source confirms to People magazine that the couple aren’t reuniting.

“Jennifer did not take Ben back,” an insider tells the magazine.

A cover story published by OK! magazine claimed the actress was taking back her husband, calling it a “full-blown reconciliation.” The article has been busted as untrue.

Several reports are out this week speculating that Garner is showing a “baby bump” and that she and Affleck are planning a return to the Turks and Caicos for a romantic vacation where they married 11 years ago. Regardless, the source asserts that the couple aren’t reconciling or planning a honeymoon.

“There are no plans for a second honeymoon anywhere,” the source insists.

In Touch reported that a source informed them Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck were planning a second honeymoon. The mysterious source says that Ben “has been relentless in pursuing Jen, and he finally convinced her to go back to Turks and Caicos with him.”

The supposed source continues that Garner hasn’t made Affleck “any promises, but the fact that they are going away together to their special place says a lot about the future of the relationship. Ben sees this trip as a huge step — he wants it to be a second honeymoon.”

According to the story, Garner is making her husband “jump through hoops” to make sure that he’ll “match what he’s saying.”

This isn’t the first report to claim Affleck is doing everything possible to charm Garner. For months a spate of reports suggest that he’s been trying to woo her into reconciling with him. Since he’s the one who was rumored to have ruined his marriage by having an affair with their children’s nanny, he’s the one who should do everything he can to win his wife back. It’s an easy story to spin for the magazines.

It’s been over a year since they announced their break-up, but no divorce papers have been filed. Since that time, the two haven’t finalized their split. Instead, they’ve been living in the same home and going on family vacations together with their three children — Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4. In fact, Garner and the kids moved to London for several weeks while Affleck filmed Justice League. While he was shooting the movie, Jennifer traveled around Europe with the kids and enjoyed their rented home.

What about those rumors that Jennifer Garner is pregnant? People’s source blasts the reports and says Garner and Affleck “are 100% still separated and focused on co-parenting for the kids’ sake.”

Another source told the magazine previously that there’s “no rush” to file for divorce and that they’re happy with the way things currently are. Nothing has really changed in their relationship other than being there solely for their children.

Gossip Cop also corrected the false reports. A reputable source told the site that OK’s report is “just stupid.” Furthermore, an additional source deemed trustworthy — presumably the same one who spoke with People — tells them the same thing.

“Jennifer did not take Ben back. They are 100 percent still separated and focused on co-parenting for the kids’ sake,” Gossip Cop’s source says.

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck will live on in tabloid speculative reports as long as they’re considered separated, but together. It’s possible a reconciliation will surface between them, but the same stories play out over and over again. They put on a united front and make as little fuss as possible to minimize drama for their children.
