Annie Lennox Married: Eurythmics Singer Ties Knot For The Third Time

People Magazine is reporting that former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox has wed for the third time.

According to People, Lennox, 57, married American Dr. Mitch Besser, 57, in a private ceremony in London last Saturday.

Annie reportedly met Mitch in 2009 through her work with mothers2mothers, a private organization based in Africa that is dedicated to reducing mother-to-child HIV transmission.

A representative for Lennox confirmed that roughly 150 friends and family attended the private event with Lennox’s daughters, Lola and Tali, serving as bridesmaids. Oscar winning actor Colin Firth and comedienne Ruby Wax were among the guests.

The Daily Mail reports that Lennox wore a distinctive, white, floor-length gown with a lace bolero shrug and a vintage 1920s style headpiece.

Following the joyous occasion, Lennox took to Twitter to share her happiness posting a picture of her pink and white flowers and the words:

“Wedding flowers: 15th September 2012.”

While details on the newlyweds’ honeymoon plans remain a secret, a source close to the couple told the Daily Record that Annie “and Mitch are probably going to get away for a few days.”

Before meeting Besser, Annie Lennox was was previously married to Radha Raman and Israeli film producer Uri Fruchtmann, who is the father of her two daughters.

After two failed marriages, Lennox wasn’t so hopeful about remarrying back in 2008.

“No more marriage for me, I don’t see the point of it,” said the singer at the time. “It’s not that I am sure a cynic. To share one’s life with someone is a beautiful thing. But for the moment, I am a single person.”

Looks like it’s never too late for love.

Congrats Annie and Mitch.
