Neymar Too Busy For Son Davi Lucca As Brazil Olympics Pressure Mounts

Neymar is expected to lead Brazil to glory in Rio this summer Olympics. He may be back in his motherland, but that doesn’t mean that he has a lot of time to hang out with his son, Davi Lucca. As the captain of Brazil national team, Neymar has bigger things to worry about!

The 24-year-old soccer phenom missed this year’s Copa America, but he was right there with his teammates “as the Brazil Olympics squad begin their preparations for their home Games” this week, according to Daily Mail.

With just two weeks to go before the start of Rio Olympics, it looks like pressure is mounting for the captain of Brazil national soccer team.

Neymar posted a selfie using emoticons that expressed that the only thing that is on his mind is winning a gold medal for his country. Check out the picture below!

Now that the holidays are over for the most famous man on the Brazilian football team, he won’t have time to bond with his growing son, Davi Lucca. The last time that he made a post about his son was over two weeks ago.

The days of spending down time with his son Davi Lucca are over as Neymar gears up for Olympics.

The pressure that he is facing from his people is astounding. The head coach for Brazil national team recently “described the expectations on Neymar as “inhumane” and insisted the country’s hopes of a maiden Olympic football gold medal do not hinge on the Barcelona star,” according to Independent Online.

“The collective is what gives potential to the individual and it’s inhumane to place all of the pressure on one player,” the coach said on Thursday. “Obviously the technical quality of an individual is important but you can’t expect one player to do everything.”

The pressure for Rio Olympics is getting out of hand for various reasons. The fact that Brazil has lost so dramatically at the World Cup, doubled the by the fact that their Copa America campaign was also disastrous, has gotten the football fans in Brazil all worked up.

To make sure that his son Davi Lucca gets the care and attention he needs, it’s very likely that Neymar has passed him off to his relatives to keep an eye on the young boy.

Davi Lucca’s mother, Carolina Dantas, has been very supportive of Neymar as he seeks football glory in Europe as well as Brazil, so it’s expected for her to step up during the Olympics, as well.

Last October, she moved to Barcelona so that she could be there for their son so that Neymar could focus on his performance with Barcelona FC.

“Neymar’s former girlfriend and his son are planning to move to Spain to be closer to the Barcelona star,” reported Mirror UK. “[Carolina] Dantas is tipped to move for three months as a test period. If she decides to stay, she may still be limited to a year in the Catalan capital, as she does not have a European passport.”

This Olympics could be a career defining moment for Neymar and an opportunity for him to increase his fame level. He has been using his time off from the sport to work on his superstar appeal in Hollywood.

“It appears the Barcelona forward’s career has taken a turn in the somewhat Vinnie Jones direction,” reports Mirror UK. “No, he’s not become a tough tackling warrior, he’s getting his face on the big screen. That’s right, Neymar is starring in a new xXx film. Let’s elaborate, he’s making a, what we assume, guest appearance in Vin Diesel’s new film: xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.”

If Brazil does snag the gold medal at this year’s Olympics, Neymar will be able to triple his level of influence as a sportsperson as well as a celebrity.
