‘Harry Potter’ Reunion Alert! Harry And Ginny Meets Again In Daniel Radcliffe’s ‘Privacy’ Broadway Play

Every Potter fan would know of the Harry and Ginny tandem. This was an initially unusual pairing until Ginny Weasley showed everyone that there’s something about her that the legendary Harry Potter could not resist.

Now, the two are back in Daniel Radcliffe’s newest Broadway play Privacy.

According to Broadway, the Audience Choice Award winner is coming back to New York for this very special production. Written by James Graham, the play was inspired by bits of Edward Snowden’s revelations. Privacy unravels the complication that happened with technology and security.

Privacy stars Radcliffe, who is portraying the deep loneliness of a guy who is trapped in the whirlwind of modern technology.

“The play uncovers what our technological choices reveal about who we are, what we want and who’s keeping track of it all. This provocative theatrical event will ask audiences to charge their phones, leave them ON during the performance and to embark on a fascinating dive online and into a new reality where we’re all connected…for better or worse.”

Privacy has already been extended through August 14. The opening night started on the July 18 and it premiered at London’s Donmar Warehouse back in 2014.

Daniel Radcliffe told Playbill that he finds resonance in his character, The Writer. Though Daniel Radcliffe grew before the eyes of the world, the actor keeps a pretty low profile compared to his colleagues in the entertainment industry.

“Unless I’m going to an event or a premiere or doing press,” he says, “I’m sort of pleased with the fairly low profile I manage to keep. I manage to keep press on the whole to talking about work, and the little bits I talk about my relationship is all fairly common knowledge anyway. Basically, I try to bore the press into submission. I feel like my life is not that… It’s certainly not newsworthy.”

Despite being in the limelight, Daniel Radcliffe has made an outstanding performance out of The Writer. According to New York Theater Guide, the show started in a very slow pace. When the show opened up, nothing actually happened. Then, by the 20th minute, the lights were shown to the audience so The Writer could notice the audience.

The Writer has just broken up with his girlfriend and he is trying to find a way to express his grief.

Privacy has been lauded by many critics including Ben Brantley from the New York Times saying the play “ingeniously recreates that most venerable of entertainments, the magic show, in a form of ideally suited to the second decade of the 21st century.”

David Cote from Time Out New York said the play opens everyone to the reality of the internet nowadays. There is surveillance and these are “miraculous toys in our back pockets” that are actually playing us.”

Because of the success of Privacy, Harry Potter co-star Robbie Wright visited THE Harry Potter during one of his shows. The iconic photo has already received more than 99,000 likes on Instagram. Wright captioned the photo with, “Reunion! Congrats Dan on another stellar performance. Google is terrifying and I’m now scared to use my phone. Can say no more. Go see Privacy!” They were also joined by Harry Potter director Christopher Columbus. It was a must-see reunion.

Since Harry Potter, Bonnie Wright has been an ultimate crush on Instagram. Fans were just impressed on how beautiful she has become. According to Mirror, the actress was almost unrecognizable in her photos.

She is currently dating The Box owner Simon Hammerstein. Though this relationship has been criticized because of their age gap, considering that Hammerstein is already 36 years old, Wright has no comments on this age difference issue.

“We got on really well. That’s why we’re still together. London’s such a melting pot that you can always find lovely people.”

So, that might probably mean that Bonnie Wright has moved on from the Harry-Ginny tandem to her own love story.
