St. Vincent Transforms Girlfriend Cara Delevingne Into ‘Suicide Squad’ Actress

Cara Delevingne’s girlfriend, St. Vincent, had such positive impact on her life that the actress may owe her success to the singer. Cara struggled after achieving her initial fame, descending into depression and alleged drug use, but her relationship with St. Vincent has pulled her back into being a successful artist.

Now, Cara Delevingne lives a healthy life in Los Angeles, embracing “the virtues of green juice and the gym.” And it turns out the 32-year-old experimental artist, who has not left Cara’s side in the last two years, had a lot to do with this turnaround of the British model, according to the Daily Mail.

Thanks to her more mature and experienced girlfriend, Cara Delevingne is now a super successful model and an actress. She appears in the highly anticipated movie Suicide Squad, which had the budget at £120 million and stars the likes of Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, and Will Smith.

The last time St. Vincent and Cara Delevingne appeared in public together was right after Taylor Swift’s famous Fourth of July party. As two foreigners celebrating the quintessential American holiday, they kept close together, kissing and snuggling.

“Cara Delevingne and her girlfriend St. Vincent couldn’t help but share a sweet while taking a moment for themselves during Taylor Swift’s star-studded Independence Day party in Rhodes Island,” reports the Daily Mail. “The British model-turned-actress, 23, was seen enjoying the sunshine on the balcony of Taylor’s home with her long-term partner, the two of them snuggling up together.”

It was probably a good thing that the 23-year-old actress took the time to hang out with her significant other because now she is getting super busy promoting Suicide Squad. She recently did a cover shoot and interview for Love Magazine with co-star Margot Robbie.

“Cara is no stranger to Love, having covered it multiple times before as well as taken part in their annual advent calendar,” reports MTV News. “As Cara inches her way back to modeling and fashion, it was only a matter of time until she’d hit the pages of Love again.”

Looks like Suicide Squad also heralded the actress’ return to the fashion world!

The charismatic, relatable, and lovable person that Cara is, Margot Robbie could not help but fall in love with her during the filming of Suicide Squad.

“It was that kind of thing, a super-fancy event. I remember muttering to my friend Sophia [Kerr], when this waitress asked, ‘Would you like water? Would you like champagne?’ I said, God, I want a tequila,” Margot Robbie said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “Cara, who I’d never met before, was about five metres away from me and her ears just pricked up and she said, ‘Did someone say tequila?'”

“I was like, ‘You and I are so going to be best friends,'” the Australian actress continued. “I genuinely love her. I do. I’ve done very intense projects with people that I haven’t stayed in contact with, so I know it from both sides.”

This kind of positive energy in the British actress’ life is only possible because of the love she gets from St. Vincent.

“I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I’m feeling so happy with who I am these days,” she said to Vogue. “And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle.”

And now, she is fully ready to step out as a rising Hollywood star in Suicide Squad. In a recent interview with NME, the 23-year-old actress confessed that the role of the Enchantress was a challenge, as it forced her to look at the issues of “addiction, desperation and that void,” but she found that the role was much more than just that.

“One of the first things David said was ‘Go to the forest, the country – hopefully under the full moon – naked and feel what that feels like.’ And I was ‘This is f**king awesome. OK, I’m going to do that,” she said.
