‘Decades Of Multiculturalism And Political Correctness’ To Blame For Nice Terror Attack, Says Polish Interior Minister

The Polish Interior Minister, Mariusz Blaszczak, spoke out against “multiculturalism and political correctness” in Europe, noting that these ideas are what caused the horrific Bastille Day terror attack in Nice, France. Blaszczak says that Federica Mogherini, European Union’s Foreign affairs commissioner, needs to stop organizing marches “which solve nothing” and instead focus on real policies to keep citizens safe.

The Daily Mail reports that the Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Blaszczak is holding nothing back in response to the Nice terrorist attack. Following the deadly massacre which left 84 people dead and 202 injured, the minister says that the EU must step back from the idea of “political correctness” and call things by “their true name.”

“We must reject political correctness and call things by their true names. Rather than shedding tears like Mogherini and… organizing marches that solve nothing, authorities should ensure the safety of citizens.”

The minister seemed to be referring to Mogherini’s famous speech following the Brussels attack in which she openly wept for the loss of lives. During her speech, the foreign affairs commission noted that the pain in Europe is the same pain that people in Syria feel everyday.

“It’s also a very sad day for Europe, as Europe and its capital are suffering the same pain that this region has known and knows every single day, be it in Syria, be it elsewhere.”

Blaszczak claims that it is the idea of multiculturalism and the importance placed on it within the EU that has caused attacks such as those in Nice.

“Have we not learned lessons from previous attacks in Paris and Brussels?” the minister asked. He says that the nations must go back to protecting citizens and that Poland doesn’t have “such problems” because they do not adhere to that political correctness and that they don’t have any “no-go zones” regarding police.

“We don’t have such problems. We don’t have districts where law other than Polish law reigns. We don’t have no-go zones for police.”

The Polish Interior Ministry says that suspected terrorist must be followed more closely and that surveillance should not be limited due to heavy regulation. In Poland, new surveillance laws have been put into place in a bid to curb terrorism in the nation which expands the surveillance capabilities of police. The new law allows police to monitor phone calls, emails, and internet activity of those suspected of terrorism and focuses on mostly foreigners.

The law also goes further to allow the Polish government to ban public gatherings or content from the internet if they believe it may cause terrorism. Additionally, sharpshooters may be used in cases of “public emergency.” While the Polish minister asked other nations to step up and enforce stricter anti-jihad policies, he didn’t seem very optimistic about other nations following suit. In fact, Blaszczak said that “Europe will soon be lost to political correctness.”

“There are no prospects to master this situation, you can not see them. Europe will soon be lost to political correctness.”

Though he was not optimistic about Europe’s future as a whole, he did seem happy with progress being made in Poland and noted that there is currently no indication that the same terrorism problem exists within Polish borders and that the country will “not be intimidated.”

“From what I know there is not danger in Poland. We stand in solidarity with our partners in Western Europe, we will not be intimidated.”
