‘RHOBH’ Star Lisa Vanderpump Almost Didn’t Return For Season 7, Kathryn Edwards Says She Left On Her Own Terms

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills queen bee is back—Lisa Vanderpump will return for Season 7. After a few weeks of soul searching Vanderpump decided to return to the show, making her fans extremely happy.

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump almost didn’t return for Season 7. The RHOBH queen bee stated the hold-up wasn’t about money — she has plenty of that — but it was about her charity projects and the treatment she received last season. In the last hour, Vanderpump made a deal with Bravo, and she will return to stir up trouble, and bring awareness to the charities that are dear to her heart.

RHOBH began filming ten days ago, and many fans panicked when Lisa wasn’t part of the first few days. Until a few days ago, Vanderpump seemed perfectly fine with walking away from the reality TV show and wasn’t actively contacting (badgering) Bravo to ink a contract for Season 7. Even though many fans worried she might not return for the new season, many people believed that she’d return after Bravo caved into her (many) demands.

There is a possibility that Vanderpump held out for more money or attention, but it seems unlikely. For Lisa, time is money, and she’s “wasted” time talking about her new contract and speaking to the media about the possibility of not returning at all. In fact, two days before Bravo announced she would return, TMZ reported that Lisa likely would not return to the show. They cited the reason was time — she was too busy with her other projects.

Vanderpump explained that she enjoys her contract with Bravo as it allows her to have a platform for her charity work and bring awareness to the projects that are dear to her heart, Reality Tea explained. Reportedly, her new contract allows her to showcase her charity work. She claimed it had nothing to do with money.

“Bravo has been incredibly supportive. It’s afforded me a lot of opportunities and I embrace that.”

Kathryn Edwards is out on RHOBH for Season 7. It had been rumored for quite some time that she was out, but Edwards finally broke her silence about it. Kathryn explained that she has no regrets about her time on the show, or her choice to walk away, but admitted she would miss the friendship of the ladies on the show.

One of the reasons Edwards gave for her departure is that she decided she needed more time with her family –husband and mother. Kathryn says that even though she won’t be on the show anymore, she will still be an avid watcher of the show. She cannot wait to find out what happens between Lisa Rinna and Lisa Vanderpump as they work to repair their strained relationship.

In other RHOBH news, it hasn’t been confirmed if Eileen Davidson will return next season as Lisa Rinna’s friend. It seems like Bravo is keeping the fans in the dark on purpose, so if and when she appears, it will be a surprise. Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville reportedly will make a few appearances on the show during Season 7, too.

Lisa Vanderpump is expected to start filming in the next few days for the new season. Her fans are thrilled that she decided to return to the show.
