Jennifer Lawrence Continues To Impress By Taking On Complex And Meaningful Roles In Film

Jennifer Lawrence came on to the scene like a force of talent, quirky energy with an intent to speak her mind no matter what Hollywood thought of her. The star had been involved in a number of movies leading up to 2012, but it was when she took on the role of Katniss Everdeen in the films for The Hunger Games trilogy that Lawrence became a household name.

Since her role in the hit films, Lawrence has not slowed down. She has since won an Oscar for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, been nominated a number of additional times, and starred in a wide range of films that have all been hits at the box office and critically acclaimed. There is a reason Jen is currently the highest-paid actress in the entertainment industry.

Not only is the star a talented and respected actress on screen, but she has also earned a reputation for herself as being a hilarious addition to any set or cast, always beloved by her co-stars for her ability to make them laugh

On the horizon Lawrence has projects lined up to rival anything she has been a part of thus far. She is set to produce and star in a film that is based on the Elizabeth Holmes Theranos controversy, now entitled Bad Blood. Deadline recently shared that Adam McKay, who won best adapted screenplay for The Big Short, is set to direct the project, meaning it will be one fantastic film when all is complete. Movie Pilot shares about the synopsis to this specific project that Lawrence is taking the lead on.

“The movie will focus on the federal investigation of entrepreneur Elizabeth Holmes’s (Lawrence) blood-testing bio-tech company, which catapults her to fame with an estimated value of billions, that is until her integrity is called into question.”

The publication also relays that Jen will be under the direction of Steven Spielberg in another film adaptation from the book It’s What I Do: A Photographer’s Life of Love and War.

“The film will be an adaptation of Lynsey Addario’s It’sWhat I Do: A, a memoir from the woman who searches for truth in the world’s most dangerous locations. Jennifer Lawrence will be directed by Steven Spielberg in this fascinating depiction of the female journalist, who was once one of four people held captive by the Libyan Army in 2011.”

The book received rave reviews and it is very likely that Spielberg will do the film justice. He certainly made a wise choice electing Lawrence to play the lead role and bringing the pages to life on the big screen.

Lawrence can be seen in the soon-to-release film Passengers, in which she stars alongside Chris Pratt. The film is a sci-fi thriller in which there is a sex scene between the two that Jen admitted she had to get completely wasted before shooting. JLaw can always be counted on for honest and humorous accounts in any situation.

Darren Aronofsky, director of Requiem for a Dream, has made Jen his leading lady in an upcoming untitled film he is to direct. As the publication predicts, “we can probably expect Jennifer Lawrence to head in a bold and totally different direction, which is already an exciting proposal.” Although it’s still untitled, with just a few details shared, the cast is quite impressive and also includes Domhnall Gleeson (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Michelle Pfeiffer (Scarface), Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), Ed Harris (A History of Violence), and Brian Gleeson.

What is most impressive about Jennifer Lawrence is that she can truly adapt to any role and any genre of film while giving a seemingly effortless and remarkable performance.
