Sean And Catherine Lowe Welcome Baby Boy—‘Bachelor’ Nation Reacts

Sean Lowe and his wife Catherine Giudici Lowe are in love—with their baby boy, Samuel Thomas! The Bachelor couple welcomed their first baby, a son, on July 2 and Bachelor Nation is reacting in a big way. On Friday night, Sean Lowe first alerted fans on social media that the baby was coming, then he later posted the happy news that his wife delivered a healthy baby boy.

Both Sean and Catherine Lowe seem smitten with their bundle of joy. The new mama posted that she’s “in love with another boy,” while proud papa Sean Lowe posted a shot that was captioned: “My boy and me.”

While Sean Lowe and his wife haven’t released any details of the birth or the baby’s weight, an insider told Us Weekly the former Bachelor stars are ready for parenthood and that Sean is looking forward to a close father-son relationship with his boy.

“Sean and Catherine are so in love with Samuel already and are excited to be a family of three,” the source told Us. “[Sean] wants to teach him sports and things like that but he also is really excited to raise a great gentleman. He is so close with his dad and feels so lucky to have a great dad as a role model and wants to be that for his son.”

Sean Lowe previously told E! News that his mother-in-law will be coming to Dallas to help out with the baby, so they will have plenty of help with little Samuel early on.

“[Catherine’s] mom and her sister are coming to stay with us for about a month once the baby is born,” Lowe told E! in May. “I know to most husbands that might sound daunting, but we love them and we’re excited about it.”

Sean and Catherine Lowe also have plenty of love and support from their Bachelor family. After Sean posted news about his son’s birth, several show alums took to social media to wish the Lowes congratulations, including Bachelor host Chris Harrison and current Bachelorette star JoJo Fletcher.

In an interview with Fit Pregnancy and Baby, Catherine Lowe said that while they opted not to find out the sex of their child ahead of time, she and Sean had a feeling that their baby would be a boy.

“We’re not finding out [the baby’s sex] because we just want a healthy baby,” she told the magazine earlier this year. “It doesn’t matter what it is, but we’re both convinced it’s a boy.”

Sean Lowe and his wife haven’t revealed their birth story yet, but a drug-free delivery was originally planned—and so are more babies.

“My plan is no drugs. But I’m not against it. If I need something, I’ll have a safe word to tell Sean,” Catherine said. “If it goes this easily, I could have five [kids]! My plan was always to have three and adopt two.”

Sean Lowe met his wife on The Bachelor in 2012, and they married in a televised fairytale wedding in 2014. Last December, the Lowes announced their baby news on Instagram and fans have been closely following the pregnancy ever since.

Catherine Lowe previously told Hollywood Life that she knows Sean will be a great dad just by the way she sees how he takes care of his dogs.

“We love being married and what’s really sweet is knowing — he has these dogs two dogs, both 9 years old — seeing him with them makes me so excited for him to be a dad,” Catherine said I December. “He treats them so well and he’s very patient, so we’re looking forward to it. ”
