Selena Gomez: Did Justin Bieber’s Ex Get Shaded By Demi Lovato For Dating ‘Sorry’ Singer?

Was Selena Gomez just shaded by her fellow singer Demi Lovato? Demi, the singer of such hits as “Let It Go” and “Cool For The Summer,” made a generalized statement about Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriends that was clearly anything but flattering. Lovato posted a “poll” to her Twitter account asking her fans what they thought about the Bieb’s exes, and the choices were not pretty. Being that one of Bieber’s exes was Selena Gomez, the singer of “Revival” might get kind of offended.

Demi uploaded a poll to Twitter that asked “How Many People Can Name Someone On The FBI’s Most Wanted List?” J-14 Magazine reported on the choices, which were “Can Name 1 or more,” “What’s That?,” and “Can Name All Biebers’ Exes.” Zing! Apply ice to burned area. Selena and Demi had been pretty good friends up until this point, but sadly this could put a damper on their friendship. In addition to Selena Gomez, Demi has also been embroiled in Twitter wars with other artists such as Taylor Swift in the past.

Selena has yet to respond to the presumably shady tweet, which seems to have been deleted from Demi’s timeline (coincidence?). Gomez has drawn a lot of fire over the years for having dated Justin Bieber, and her song “The Heart Wants What It Wants” is thought to be about their relationship ending. At one of her concerts, Gomez even took a fan’s sign asking her to “Marry Justin” and threw it away.

Demi didn’t stop at shading Selena Gomez, either. As In Touch Weekly mentioned, the “Cool For The Summer” diva attacked Mariah Carey for Carey’s past shadiness towards Ariana Grande and Jennifer Lopez. In the past, Mariah had pretended she didn’t even know J-Lo existed. Yikes!

Selena has had a rocky relationship with the Biebs at best, and every little interaction between the two is read into ad nauseum. For instance, when Bieber followed Selena on Instagram (after having previously unfollowed her), fans jumped at the prospect that the two might be reunited (they aren’t as far as we know). Justin has also been intermittently seen with other big-name stars like Ariana Grande and Hailee Steinfield, so his relationship status is pretty unclear at most times.

Selena, meanwhile, has supposedly dated celebrities ranging from One Direction’s Niall Horan to EDM sensation Zedd. It appears Gomez is healing well from her break with the Biebs, and she is currently traveling the country on the Revival Tour in support of her latest album. Selena premiered her new song “Feel Me,” which she wrote, during the tour.

Demi has been keeping busy as well. The “Confident” belter released her new single “Body Say” to the Twitterverse yesterday. The song got 22,000 likes on Twitter when Lovato announced that it was now available on Spotify. The New York Daily News mentioned that “Body Say” was released just a week or so after Demi split from long-time boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. The 23-year-old songstress is currently touring with Nick Jonas on the Future Now Tour.

Are Selena and Demi “Cool For the Summer”? It’s not clear yet how or if the shade will impact their relationship. Having both grown up on the Disney Channel, Demi and Selena were, needless to say, close friends from a young age. However, both ladies have since outgrown their family-friendly roots and become more fully developed as artists and people. There hasn’t been any love lost, but they’ve definitely gone their own directions as they’ve evolved over time. What do you think about the Demi Lovato tweets?
