Lindsey Vonn Shares Her Feelings About Tiger Woods, Says She Has Problems Finding The Right Man

Lindsey Vonn still has feelings for her former beau, Tiger Woods. She had nothing but good words to say about him when asked about that part of her life.

Vonn spoke with Access Hollywood when she was put on the spot about how things are between her and Tiger.

“He is a great guy and he is a great father, and I have the utmost respect for him and I wish him the best and we are friends. We are just two adults and it didn’t work out,” Vonn said.

As Fox News reports, Vonn and Woods broke up in May 2015 after a two-year relationship. The cause was supposedly due to their busy schedules, which kept them apart most of the time. A friend of Vonn’s told Daily Mail that Woods allegedly cheated on her with a “faceless-nameless woman.”

Now, Vonn, 31, reveals that she’s “single and I am ready to mingle.”

The Olympic skier says she wants a man who’s “confident and charismatic.”

“That’s the only requirement. Just be confident in yourself and don’t be afraid to say hi. No one ever says hi to me! No one talks to me,” Vonn said.

Vonn also spoke with CNN while promoting her new ads for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. The athlete, who won a gold medal and two bronze medals at the 2010 Winter Olympics, said she wants a family but can’t find the right man. She essentially wants a confident man who isn’t intimidated by her.

“I would love to be a mom. I just don’t know… I kind of need a guy first,” Vonn said. “[Dating is] tough. Most of the time the normal guys are too intimidated and the guys that have enough confidence, have too much confidence. It’s really hard, I haven’t navigated my way very well.”

Lindsey says she doesn’t want a guy who’s so confident that he’s full of himself. She needs someone who supports what she does and won’t hold her back. She also wants someone who encourages her to do what’s best for her skiing career as well as her personal life.

The Olympic great also jokes that whoever she winds up with must win her father over first. Vonn admits that’s the greatest challenge of all.

There’s one major requirement a man must have to be with her, and that is he “must be a dog lover,” she says. “If not, it’s a no go.”

Vonn is preparing for the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea. She won’t attend the Summer Games in Rio because she’s afraid of the Zika virus; a very valid fear people worldwide have this year.

“I am not going, I have so much training going on and I’m a little bit nervous about Zika,” Lindsey said. “I’ll be watching from my couch. I’m looking forward to tennis, gymnastics, swimming, my friends like Missy (Franklin). I’m going to watch her.”

Lindsey has some empowering messages that she wants other women to glean from. In 2015, she began the Lindsey Vonn Foundation, which inspires girls to follow their dreams by building confidence and self-esteem. The skier has been inspired by other women who’ve “broken the ceiling” in women’s sports. She believes it’s about getting better and making the next generation stronger.

Bustle reports that the athlete has been criticized over her body for being too heavy, too thin, or too sexy. She doesn’t let it bother her because she’s happy with where she’s at.

“I just realized now more so than ever that I’m comfortable with who I am, and what I am, and what I look like, and it doesn’t really matter what anyone says,” Vonn revealed.
