Taylor Swift’s Style Changes Every Time She Dates A New Guy

It just seems like it was a few months ago when Taylor Swift was trying out a new look. That’s because it was only a few months ago back in April when Taylor debuted her platinum blonde hair and grunge look on the cover of Vogue and at the Coachella Music Festival. That was also around the time that she was dating DJ Calvin Harris.

Now, it looks like Taylor Swift, 26, is already back to her classic good girl look. The singer has swapped out her bleached blonde hair for darker blonde locks and her grunge wardrobe for her retro wardrobe. Swift has even been spotted wearing matching outfits with her new boyfriend, Tom Hiddleston, 35.

The couple was recently spotted on their Rome holiday wearing their matching looks on Sunday, June 26. Taylor was photographed wearing a white chiffon blouse with white skinny jeans. She topped off her look with black sunglasses, a light tan cross-body handbag, and gray lace up Raye x For Love Lemons Myra Heels, according to Hollywood Life.

As for Tom, he wore a white button-down shirt with gray trousers and gray slides. He finished off his own look with matching black sunglasses, a black belt, and a black leather watch.

It was just a few months ago when Swift was spotted wearing head-to-toe plaid and combat boots in New York City. She even swapped out her classic Keds sneakers for Converse at Coachella, where she watched Harris headline. It was the pop star’s first time attending the festival, and Harris’ first time headlining it.

However, the last time that Swift was spotted rocking her grunge look was when she visited the gym, a garden center, and the Blick arts and crafts store all in one day in West Hollywood in late May. The singer was spotted with her platinum blonde locks pulled back in a low ponytail and an all-black outfit that featured a sexy and strappy Victoria’s Secret sports bra.

Flash forward to a few days after Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris confirmed their split on Twitter. Taylor was then spotted at a fan’s wedding, which she crashed on June 4. She looked like she was back to her classic Red-era style, as seen in the photo below.

Not only has Swift swapped out her new boyfriend, but she’s also done an overhaul on her hair color, gym wardrobe, and street style. Just a week after Swift and Hiddleston were spotted kissing on a beach in Rhode Island in matching Oxfords, Swift reverted back to her classic style in a red crop top and matching high-waisted skirt. She was even photographed wearing her signature red lipstick once again.

But it’s not unlike Taylor to change up her style every time she jumps into a new relationship. When she dated Harry Styles, the couple wore matching skinny jeans, coats, beanie hats, and Oxfords. And when Taylor dated Jake Gyllenhaal, the couple was spotted wearing matching winter coats and scarves, which she sang about on her Red album. She even rocked minimal makeup looks with both men.

Is it normal for girls like Taylor Swift to adopt her boyfriend’s style? Logan Levkoff, who has a PhD in sex and relationships, told Yahoo that it’s completely normal for anyone to do so.

“It’s not a surprise that our fashion sense evolves from relationship to relationship. We are constantly trying to figure out who we are and how to express ourselves. As we learn about ourselves more in each relationship we are in, it can certainly impact how we express ourselves to the rest of the world.”

So, while Taylor did like her Vogue cover, it didn’t actually mean that she was sticking with her new grunge look. It looks like last month was the last time that you will see Taylor dressed in goth attire ever again.
