Christy Sheats Facebook Post Deleted: ‘911Strong’ Gun Video That Sheats Shared Is Gone

Christy Byrd Sheats shared 911Strong‘s Facebook video onto Christy’s own Facebook page on March 1, along with a comment that is being called “haunting” in the wake of the news about Sheats tragically shooting and killing her daughters. However, when Facebook users try to visit the very pro-gun video that Christy shared on Facebook, they will find that it has not only been deleted from Sheats’ Facebook account, but also the pro-gun video has been deleted from the “911Strong” Facebook account as well. It is not known if Facebook deleted the video from the 911Strong Facebook account — and therefore from Christy’s account as a Facebook shared video — or, if the 911Strong Facebook account deleted the video that began to get plenty of attention.

As reported by Heavy, Sheats shot and killed her two daughters after some sort of Sheats family meeting went wrong. The 42-year-old Christy shot and killed 22-year-old Taylor Sheats and 17-year-old Madison Sheats, as her husband, Jason Sheats, begged Christy not to kill their daughters.

According to the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the shooting occurred on June 24. Christy was shot by police when Sheats did not comply with commands to drop her gun. One officer saw Christy shoot her daughter on the street. Jason Sheats was not shot by Christy. The tragedy took place in Katy, Texas, outside of Houston.

In her description, as seen in the Google Cache from Christy’s Facebook account, of the specific Facebook post touting the importance of having guns to protect Sheats’ family, Christy wrote that it would be “tragic” if her ability to protect Sheats and the Sheats family with guns was taken away. It was an ironic statement in wake of the news that Christy shot her own daughters to death.

“It would be horribly tragic if my ability to protect myself or my family were to be taken away, but that’s exactly what Democrats are determined to do by banning semi-automatic handguns.”

On the 911Strong Facebook account, the video was originally posted on July 18, 2014, with a description that claimed anti-gun states would likely not air the video.

“This commercial will probably never air in anti-gun states.”

A search for “This commercial will probably never air in anti-gun states” on YouTube does not result in the original video shared on Sheats’ Facebook timeline.

A search for the phrase “This commercial will probably never air in anti-gun states….” via Google video doesn’t result in the original Facebook video that Christy shared.

The video from the 911Strong Facebook account was pretty popular, growing to enjoy plenty of Facebook likes and thousands of Facebook comments. The 911Strong account has a description that calls the Facebook user a God-fearing family man who is a police officer attempting to show the human side of law enforcement.

“Thanks for your support. I’m a God Fearing Family Man who is a Southern California Police Officer & University Professor. Showing the human side of L.E.”

The irony of the human side of gun usage is illustrated when a pro-gun person like Christy, who writes on Facebook about needing guns to protect her family, is also the same person who shoots her own daughters to death.

Christy’s husband is reportedly so upset that he needs to spend time at a hospital. As seen in the video on IJReview.com, Christy’s husband, Jason, was led away from the scene of the shooting looking overcome with grief. In the same video, neighbors of the Sheats family spoke about how much Jason loved his daughters. There were surprising reactions to the shootings, with some folks claiming Christy wouldn’t hurt a fly.
