Is Elizabeth Warren Racist? Donald Trump Says She Is In New Round Of Attacks

Elizabeth Warren has drawn the ire of Donald Trump several times over the last few months, but it appears the United States Senator is right in his hate crosshairs now after she launched a new attack Monday morning while campaigning for Hillary Clinton. Elizabeth Warren appeared at a campaign stop for the presumptive Democratic nominee, where she once again called Donald Trump a “money grubber” who only wants to make America great again for the rich fat cats he calls his friends.

Perhaps ironically, or because she knew it would draw a response, Warren also commented on the supposed thick skin of Clinton while also making comments about her hands and her heart.

“Hillary has brains, she has guts, she has thick skin and steady hands, but most of all, she has a good heart. And that’s what America needs!”

Warren declared as she stood next to a beaming and nodding Hillary Clinton, Salon reports. After the Senator had pressed her attack on Trump and his approach to his campaign, she added that she could “do this all day, but I won’t.” Not one to allow an attack on his character go unanswered, Trump first issued what was a boilerplate response on Twitter. “Crooked Hillary is wheeling out one of the least productive senators in the U.S. Senate, goofy Elizabeth Warren, who lied on heritage,” the tweet read.

Trump wasn’t able to let that tweet be the last thing he said about the issue, though. Mere moments after his campaign issued a statement in which they called Elizabeth Warren a sellout, Trump reportedly called NBC News reporter Hallie Jackson and unloaded in his most vicious attack yet. During that rant, he called the woman a “total fraud” who made up her heritage. It is for this reason that Trump also believes Warren might be racist. He went on to repeat the racism charge some times and ended the charges with saying he believes what she did (claiming she is five percent Native American) is “very racist.”

This is hardly the first time the Massachusetts Senator has come under fire for “claiming” she was Native American. The attacks go all the way back to a college application to Harvard, where she claimed she had some Native American background. This revelation first surfaced when Warren was running for her Senate seat against Republican incumbent Scott Brown. While the GOP was able to damage her brand a bit, she ended up winning the race thanks in large part to her massive popularity with liberals.

That popularity is one of the reasons Hillary Clinton has been showcasing the two women’s partnership during the last few weeks, and it’s likely why Trump desperately wants to undercut her. The Republican party, in general, is apparently a little uncomfortable with her popularity, especially amid rumors Clinton could select Warren as her vice-presidential candidate. Shortly after Trump went after her Native American heritage again, Scott Brown doubled down and likely laid out the roadmap to how the RNC is going to be attacking the potential candidate from now on.

Brown was on an RNC call with the media when he reportedly said Warren should take a DNA test to prove her heritage. When he was asked whether he believed such a thing was necessary, he said again she should take a test. He also said if she didn’t want to do that, she could simply get Harvard to release her official records to prove her claims. It appears a new brand of racism claims have just surfaced when it comes to Elizabeth Warren, Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump, and what is already a wild 2016 Presidential race.
