Vicki Gunvalson’s On ‘RHOC’ Failed Friendships: I’m Actually Okay’

Vicki Gunvalson is back for another season of The Real Housewives of Orange County even though many thought she would take some time to herself. Last year, Gunvalson was caught in a huge cancer scandal, as many believed that Brooks Ayers was lying about having cancer. It didn’t help her that Vicki’s own daughter Briana kept saying things that weren’t exactly positive. She claimed that he had told her that he had liver cancer once before, but upon questioning him, she learned that he had only had psoriasis — an infection of the liver caused by excessive drinking. Sadly, his scheme caused Gunvalson some friends.

According to a new Bravo report, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that she’s learning to move on from these failed friendships. On the Real Housewives of Orange County premiere, Shannon Beador and Tamra Judge revealed they were very upset with Vicki for sticking up for Brooks instead of seeing all of the red flags. And both ladies have revealed that Gunvalson must have known that something was up. In addition, Vicki has admitted to fabricating some things to make his story make sense.

“A lot has happened in my life since you last saw me on the couch last season with Andy and hopefully you will be happy with how far I have come in my personal life. I have to say last year was probably the worst year of my life, and I’m glad it’s over and behind me,” Vicki Gunvalson reveals in her blog for Bravo sharing that it was a horrible year and she’s glad to be moving on from the drama.

In the first episode, Vicki revealed that it was tough for her to say goodbye to Brooks Ayers. After the previous season, he told Gunvalson that the relationship wouldn’t work, and he walked out. She explains that she was on the floor crying, asking him not to leave, but his mind was made up. He has relocated to Florida, where he lives and works.

“I learned a lot about myself and have finally realized that everything happens for a reason and much of it is a divine intervention. I’m finally at peace with it all, and this season you will see me trying to move on, after asking for forgiveness. Some are willing to do accept it and move on, and some aren’t which I’m actually okay with now. I’m not going to be stuck in the past anymore,” Vicki Gunvalson explains in her blog, revealing that she’s done talking about the past.

On Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Vicki Gunvalson decided to pull Heather Dubrow aside to talk to her about what had happened. Fans will see this conversation on next week’s episode, but Vicki does want to give her an apology for what happened — without necessarily admit any wrongdoings. But Gunvalson doesn’t seem too eager in making peace with the other ladies, especially since they are still very critical of her. Shannon and Tamra have both revealed that they feel betrayed, and they do not want to be friends with her again.

“It was tough to first see the ladies this 1st episode and to hear about how they felt about me. There is so much that you the viewers and the cast members don’t know which was my personal struggle to make sense of everything,” Gunvalson reveals in her blog.

What do you think about Vicki Gunvalson’s blog for this episode? Are you surprised that she’s willing to let go of all of her friendships, especially the ones that have meant so much to her in the past?
