The Final Trailer For The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 Debuts At The VMAs

After a fiery opening from a pixied Rihanna, Kevin Hart’s tame monologue and performances from Demi Lovato, Frank Ocean, One Direction (Best Pop Video for What Makes You Beautiful), a crazed acceptance speech from Nicki Minaj (Best Female Video for Starships), Chris Brown (Best Male Video for Turn Up The Music), then performances from Pink, 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne, and Green Day — finally — the moment arrived.

Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Peter Facinelli, Elizabeth Reaser, Jackson Rathbone, and long-standing Saga producer Wyck Godfrey walked came out onstage to introduce the final trailer for the The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.

“For over four years we’ve been working together as a family for the Twilight films and this year is the epic final” Lautner said.

Pattinson added, “It’s been an amazing journey and we’d like to thank all the fans of the series for their incredible enthusiasm from the beginning until now — the final chapter.”

Then, the trailer.

The 1: 25 minute clip showed Bella (Kristen Stewart) flexing her new vampire powers: jumping ravines, taking down a mountain lion. Then, scenes of the Cullens joined by substantially more vampires in order to face the Volturi who mistakenly believe Bella and Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) supernaturally fast-growing half human-vampire daughter — Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy) — is an aberration.
