Katie Holmes Shares Rare Photo Of Suri On Set
Katie Holmes is a very proud mama, and she’s very protective of her daughter with ex-husband Tom Cruise. Holmes rarely shares personal photos of Suri to allow the child some privacy, but recently she has posted a snap to Instagram of the two of them sharing mother-daughter time on set, and fans are loving the sweet pic.
Captioned “My sweetie,” the photo shows Katie and Suri hanging out in director’s chairs with pleasant expressions. Both appear to be relaxed and happy as they oversee some action on a set.
It’s unclear what movie they are working on, but according to Entertainment Tonight, it’s likely to be The Kennedys: After Camelot, which is shooting in Toronto. The Reelz mini-series also stars Matthew Perry as Ted Kennedy, and the story follows Jackie (Holmes) after the assassinations of both John and Robert Kennedy and her marriage to shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis.
Katie has made quite a few headlines recently, because of her striking resemblance to Jackie O. and her rumored relationship with actor Jamie Foxx, who reportedly traveled to Toronto last week. The duo have not confirmed a relationship, but the media has been all over the rumors since 2013, when they were spotted at an event together. Since then, they have both denied that they are a couple, but rumors continue to fly that they are together, engaged, and/or having a baby.
“The rumors are 100 percent not true. In fact, it’s quite hilarious because we simply danced at a charity event along with a lot of other people,” Foxx told Entertainment Tonight that year.
Despite their protests, the duo have been in quite a few of the same places at the same time lately, and they seem to have coordinated their travels in a way that doesn’t make it too obvious. Sources say, however, that Katie has grown tired of sneaking around and broke things off with Foxx because he didn’t want to go public with their relationship.
“Katie has grown weary of playing hide-and-seek with their relationship. After several years skulking about with him on the down low, she desperately wants to show off her man,” a friend revealed recently.
Holmes divorced from Tom Cruise in 2012 after a whirlwind romance and many strange, invasive stories about their personal lives, including Tom’s involvement with the Church of Scientology. Later, she said she was a bit overwhelmed by all the media attention the two of them got and felt she had been lost a bit in it all.
“I don’t want that moment in my life to define me, to be who I am. I don’t want that to be what I’m known as. I was an actor before, an actor during and an actor now,” Holmes said. “You’ve got to keep going. In every part of your life. Focus on the positive. Stay creative. Go to things that interest you. Do work that’s fulfilling. Challenge yourself. What’s amazing about the human spirit, there are so many people doing inspiring things. If you focus on that, it makes your life richer.”
According to actress Leah Remini — who was invited to Tom and Katie’s wedding — the couple seemingly almost didn’t get married. Katie was late, and Tom was kept waiting for several minutes while guests waited uneasily. According to Entertainment Tonight, an excerpt from Leah’s book reveals the awkward moment.
“Leah says that after Tom took his place at the front of the chapel, he stood there ‘for the next twenty minutes (but what seemed like an eternity)’ with ‘that everything-is-great look plastered on his face even as the crowd grew uncomfortable.’ While Leah offers no explanation as to why Katie was late, she writes that, at one point, J.Lo asked her, ‘Do you think Katie is coming?'”
