Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are reportedly dating, but when it comes to taking the next step in their relationship, they are reportedly hesitant due to the strained relationship between Holmes and her ex-husband, Tom Cruise.
While Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise split years ago and have remained estranged ever since, even in terms of co-parenting, the actress reportedly fears he would attempt to gain full custody of their daughter, Suri Cruise, if she and Foxx were to wed.
“The couple was supposed to get married at Katie’s vacation home in Michigan, but it was believed that Katie is afraid of Cruise… [Katie Holmes] reportedly thinks that Tom will take his daughter if she marries Jamie,” The Bitbag revealed to readers on June 6.

Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been linked romantically since 2013, but for some reason, despite photo and video evidence of a relationship, they have chosen against going public.
In 2013, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx were seen dancing together at a charity event at a home in The Hamptons, and a short time later, they reportedly spent time together during Super Bowl weekend in New York City. Around the same time, a Page Six insider claimed Katie Holmes and Foxx enjoyed some private time at Foxx’s Los Angeles home.
“[Katie Holmes] flew private to California to stay with Jamie at his home around the Grammys [which took place Jan. 26],” the insider claimed. “Foxx’s beautiful daughter Corinne was his date for the Grammys. But he and [Katie Holmes] also spent time together during Super Bowl weekend, although they attended the game separately.”

Since they were first linked years ago, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have faced ongoing rumors claiming they are expecting a baby or planning a wedding or both. However, through it all, Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have failed to confirm they were dating.
“Jamie loves Katie so much and he prides himself on keeping his relationship with her private,” a source close to Foxx told Hollywood Life in March. “That said, if and when he does go there and put a ring on her finger, he’s not going to do it publicly. The last thing he wants is Tom going all ‘Collateral’ on him. Jamie doesn’t know Tom’s crazy side and he likes to keep it that way. He’s heard war stories from Katie about what it’s like to be his bad side and he doesn’t want that drama.”
Katie Holmes’s rumored boyfriend, Foxx, starred alongside Tom Cruise in Collateral in 2004, years prior to their marriage.
“A friend of Jamie’s joked and told him he better be careful because Tom could morph into that crazy and demented Vincent from their ‘Collateral’ movie,” the source added. “Jamie laughed but his friend told him it’s no laughing matter.”
In addition to Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx’s engagement rumors, there have also been swirling reports claiming they may already be married. Months ago, after both Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx stepped out with what appeared to be wedding bands on each of their fingers, many fans assumed they had gotten hitched, but as per the usual, the rumored couple remained completely silent about the issue.
