Louis Tomlinson Thinks He’s Overrated, Niall Horan Gets Inside Scoop On Harry Styles’ Acting Skills

Louis Tomlinson has just provided us with some new info about his upcoming film, and Louis’ One Direction band mate Niall Horan has been snooping around a bit and discovered some Harry Styles film scoops he was willing to share with reporters.

Independent reports that Louis Tomlinson is super-excited to be playing footballer Jamie Vardy in an upcoming football film. Louis called the role a “golden opportunity,” reports Daily Mail.

“One Direction star Louis Tomlinson, who is set to play the footballer in a biopic, was also a guest at the wedding and said playing Jamie in the film about the former non-league striker’s rise to fame would be a ‘golden opportunity.'”

Tomlinson recently attended Jamie Vardy’ wedding. Louis was accompanied by his girlfriend Danielle Campbell, who wore a red dress and black heels and pulled her glossy hair into an up-do.

Pictures obtained by Hello show the couple smiling alongside the newlyweds, and other party guests.

Louis Tomlinson spoke to the press about his footballing pal, praising Jamie and calling his story “incredible.” Tomlinson called Vardy a lovely, “very easygoing” guy who serves as an inspiration to anyone who may be hesitating to follow their dreams.

“Jamie’s story is incredible – he’s incredible. He’s a lovely guy, very easy-going and such a great example for anyone who thinks they can’t follow their dreams.”

The ever-humble Tommo, who has been chosen to play the “incredible” Vardy, stopped short of lavishing that sort of praise on himself.

Louis told reporters that he thinks his own football skills have been blown out of proportion!

“I’m not going to lie, my footballing skills have been glorified. I’ve kind of made it sounds like I’m a good footballer, when in fact, I’m kind of a good very average footballer.”

Luckily Tomlinson will have a chance to show off his skills in the upcoming Vardy biopic, and Louis fans will be able to decide for themselves.

In other One Direction news, Niall Horan, who has been rather quiet during the hiatus, nipping out to Australia and neglecting to get involved with any new girlfriends in a high-profile fashion, has revealed that he got an inside scoop about Harry Styles’ acting career recently.

Niall revealed that he was minding his own business traveling on the tube in London when a Dunkirk insider told him what Harry Styles’ acting is like.

Apparently Harry is “a good actor.”

“I actually met this guy on the tube the other day who’s doing special effects on the movie and he told me that, yeah, apparently Harry’s a good actor.”

Niall acknowledged that Christopher Nolan is a director of some clout, and Harry must indeed be all right if he passed the tests Nolan put him through.

The 1D Irishman said he is looking forward to seeing Harry Styles in his first film role.

“I’ll tell you what, if Christopher Nolan takes you on you must be a good actor. I’m looking forward to seeing it, it’s going to be an unbelievable movie but when one of your mates is in it it’s going to be even better. I think he’s going to do well.”

Christopher Nolan raised some eyebrows when he cast boy-bander Harry Styles in the upcoming World War II feature, and some film fans and insiders whispered that Styles must have been cast because he will attract a big audience.

Flickering Myth argues that film fans need not be worried about Harry Styles ruining the serious Christopher Nolan flick.

The report claims that Nolan must have hired Styles on his acting merits — apparently, Nolan is one of the only directors in Hollywood who would not be under pressure from studios to sell his work via gimmicks and strategic casting maneuvers.

“There was some dissent when Styles – better known as a member of One Direction than an actor – was announced as part of the cast. It’s an unusual move, but it’s exactly the sort of thing that Christopher Nolan does… It’s highly unlikely that a director with Nolan’s clout would have been pressured by the studio to cast Styles due to his fan base…”

The report adds that the story of a British troop evacuation has “for too long” been told from the point of view of Americans.

Harry Styles will be helping to reclaim a piece of British history.

“Dunkirk is a British war story; for too long the story of the Second World War has been told from an American perspective, so whoever stars in the film it should be worth seeing; Christopher Nolan has a proven track record of casting choices that make little sense at first glance but work on the big screen, and ultimately, in a film that will feature young British men, Harry Styles is a pretty good fit.”

Are you surprised that both Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson are making the switch to acting?
