Gucci Is A Free ‘Mane’ And He’s Ripped — What Does That Mean For ATL?

Gucci Mane is out of prison and reportedly home. Sources note that Gucci was supposed to get out in September. Yet, it seems East Atlanta Santa is back early.

Social media is ablaze with the news that Gucci Mane has been released from jail before his presumed September date. According to XXL, Gucci is now home. The music entertainment source acquired footage from Gucci Mane’s girlfriend’s SnapChat account. The footage shows the Atlanta rapper and girlfriend, Keyshia Ka’oir, in what seems to be reunion bliss. Check out the videos below.

Several people questioned whether he was really out, or if this was just another one of the many hoaxes that circulate the internet daily. However, after seeing his signature tattoos, there was no more confusion. It was confirmed. It’s real.

Once home, you can see the couple in a newly-owned Maybach. It was part of Gucci’s “Welcome Home” surprise. And, as most people would react to receiving a new Maybach, Gucci flipped out in excitement. You can see the footage below.

In the videos, Gucci Mane also goes through some of the awards he’s received for songwriting. Some of the names Gucci mentioned were Ludacris and Mariah Carey. However, he was most-excited about his own album. As can be seen from the following videos, some of Gucci’s pre-prison albums went gold.

Not only does “Mr. Mane” have plaques, but he also has muscles now. While you probably remember Gucci Mane with the “tummy,” that’s no longer the situation. East Atlanta Santa is fit, now.

Although most people recognize that the man in the video has a high probability of being Gucci Mane, many are skeptical regarding “Mr. So Icy”s lack of face-time. As you notice in the videos, Gucci’s girlfriend doesn’t show his face in any of the frames. So, from that, fans want to know what’s up.

Nonetheless, the excitement still continues to rise. Via Twitter, #Gucci has been trending for the last five hours, and it’s nearly at a million tweets. For a while, it was holding the first position in the trending topics, actually.

So, is Gucci Mane about to get back to the music? Actually, according to his Instagram (Yes, Gucci had an Instagram and a Twitter account while in prison), he’s supposedly getting ready to tour. As can be seen below, Gucci Mane gave out his information back in February, promoting his December, 2015, mixtape, East Atlanta Santa II.

Yet, that’s not the most shocking news. Supposedly, Gucci’s recording a mixtape called Gucci Free tonight and releasing it tomorrow, as reports Hollywood Life. Well, that’s according to a Twitter profile that claims to be 1017 Records. The reasonable doubt is that the page is unverified. Not to mention, in the aforementioned videos, his girlfriend stated that they’re having family time tonight. So, for now, that’s possibly just rumor.

Regardless, even with all the social glee regarding Gucci Mane’s release and homecoming, East Atlanta Santa isn’t back in Atlanta just yet. According to TMZ, he actually has a home in Indiana for now. Gucci Mane’s lawyer, Drew Findling, notes that he will be on house arrest for a few months. Then, afterwards, he’ll enter a probationary period. Maybe then, he’ll return to Atlanta?

If you recall, Gucci Mane was arrested in September of 2013 and sentenced to 39 months in a Terre Haute, Indiana, prison for gun possession. However, according to XXL, it was a little more complicated than that, alone. The source mentions that authorities recalled that Gucci Mane “displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney.”
