‘Teen Mom 2’ Kailyn Lowry Confirms Divorce From Husband Javi Marroquin

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin are getting divorced. Following months of rumors regarding their split, the Teen Mom 2 star and mother of two has confirmed the sad news.

While running errands in her hometown of Dover, Delaware, on Tuesday afternoon, Kailyn Lowry spoke to the Daily Mail, revealing she and Marroquin were parting ways after just three years of marriage.

“We’re trying to do the best we can for our kids because they are what really matters,” Kailyn Lowry added, according to the May 24 report.

In addition to her oldest son, 6-year-old Isaac, whose father is Jo Rivera, Kailyn Lowry also shares a 2-year-old son, Lincoln, with Marroquin.

Prior to the Daily Mail breaking news of her divorce, Kailyn Lowry shared the following tweet with her fans and followers on Twitter.

Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin tied the knot in September 2012 and renewed their vows in a much larger ceremony outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania one year later, just weeks before Kailyn Lowry gave birth to Lincoln.

Throughout their time on Teen Mom 2, Kailyn Lowry and Javi Marroquin have experienced tons of marital issues, and during Season 6, they discussed a possible divorce. However, after going to couples counseling, they opted to stay together.

While Kailyn Lowry hasn’t addressed her divorce with fans on social media at this point, she has been active online and recently spoke of her school schedule and other responsibilities.

“I don’t know how I’m going to survive school this month. Math and physics are a foreign language to me,” Kailyn Lowry wrote just a short time ago. “I also don’t know where I will find the motivation to go through the boys stuff for donations this week… I need to get it done.”

Weeks ago, amid rumors of her and Marroquin’s potential divorce, Kailyn Lowry spoke to Real Mr. Housewife in hopes of silencing the ongoing speculation into her marriage. However, due to her and Marroquin’s ongoing cryptic tweets, it didn’t help all that much.

“I have a lot of stuff going on in my life. Big things are coming. Changes are happening,” she explained to the outlet. “I had the opportunity to go skydiving, so I decided to do it.”

“This is really getting sickening,” Kailyn Lowry added of the rumors of a split. “I can’t take a breath or a step without people claiming it has something to do with a divorce. I went skydiving because I wanted to and, again the opportunity to go was there. That’s simply all there was to it. I acknowledge the fact that I’m on TV and this comes with the territory to an extent, but at this point there are some things I want to keep between my family. Due to that, I would really appreciate this over analyzation of every move I make stopping, as it’s simply getting ridiculous.”

Before deleting his Twitter account earlier this month, Marroquin publicly called out Kailyn Lowry in a tweet which claimed she had been caught texting another man behind his back — and that the man she was texting was the same man he had caught her communicating with during Season 6. Marroquin also claimed on Twitter that he was heartbroken for his step-son.
