‘Bachelorette’ Baby News: Michael Stagliano And Wife Emily Are Expecting Their First Child, ‘Bachelor Pad’ Winner Reveals

Former Bachelorette and Bachelor Pad star Michael Stagliano is expecting his first baby with his wife, Emily. Fans have been anxious to see news of this sort from the couple for some time now, and many had recently started to suspect that Emily and Michael might have an announcement to make soon. The news is finally out, and fans cannot wait to hear more.

As Bachelor Nation fans know, there is a massive baby boom happening within the franchise family. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are expecting their first child this summer, as is Ali Fedotowsky and her fiance, Kevin Manno. Former Bachelorette star Jillian Harris is having a baby soon with her significant other, Justin Pasutto, and Desiree Hartsock Siegfried and husband Chris Siegfried have their first family addition coming soon too. In addition, Emily Maynard Johnson is expecting her third child, her second with husband Tyler.

It was just announced that Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum are expecting their second child, a girl, and Michael’s sister-in-law DeAnna Pappas and his twin brother, Stephen, just had their second child, a baby boy. Now, Michael and Emily are getting in on the Bachelor baby fun. People have been joking that there definitely seems to be something in the water, and fans are going wild over all of these babies on the way.

Michael and Emily shared the big pregnancy news via his Instagram page. The Staglianos shared that not only it is their second wedding anniversary, but they hit the point where they were ready to reveal that they are expecting a baby boy this fall.

This baby news doesn’t come completely out of left field for Stagliano’s Instagram followers, however. Bachelorette fans had their suspicions after a photo Michael posted about six weeks ago that showed him with Emily, who definitely appeared to have a bit of a baby bump. Some fans asked on the post if she was expecting, but the duo stayed mum on the news until now.

Michael shared some additional details with People, detailing that they’ve had a couple of different strategies for sharing the news. Stagliano teases that they did do something special for their family members when they revealed the news. However, in what many Bachelor fans would surely say is totally the right style for this fan-favorite contestant, Michael says that he and Emily have just gone with blindsiding many of their closest friends in throwing the scoop into conversations unexpectedly.

The Bachelor Pad 2 winner and former Bachelorette contestant admits that when DeAnna and Stephen’s daughter, Addison, came along a while back, he and Emily started to get some baby fever. Both Michael and Emily have become quite close to Addison, and they pop up together on Instagram frequently, as Addison loves her Uncle “Ika” and he clearly adores his “Tiny” as well. DeAnna and Stephen’s son, Austin, was born a couple of months ago and it sounds as if everybody in the Stagliano clan is excited that Austin and his new cousin will be close in age.

Emily and Michael are expecting their son in November, and the pregnancy has been going really well so far. While he apparently wasn’t too terribly into babies before Addison and Austin arrived, he’s made a lot of progress, and Bachelor fans have no doubt whatsoever that he will be an amazing dad.

What about a name for the next Stagliano baby? Michael and Emily tease that they decided on a name before they even got married, just a few months into dating. However, they won’t be sharing the name until after their baby boy arrives this fall.
