‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Final Week Of May Sweeps Promises Surprises [Spoilers]
General Hospital is approaching the final week of May sweeps, and so far, there hasn’t been much hype about what has happened. The writers have accomplished driving a wedge between Julian (William deVry) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), killing off Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) again, and planning a spectacular Nurses Ball. General Hospital is working towards becoming more hospital-focused again, with a bit of the mob still working on the side.
Things with Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) are coming to a head on General Hospital. She is on the brink of death, and Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Michael (Chad Duell) will arrive just in time to save her and bring her back to Port Charles. According to Soap Shows, Sonny and Michael are both a part of the rescue, and the reunion between Michael and Sabrina will be one for the books. Will the General Hospital writers pair these two together once again, or is there more tragedy in store for this couple?
Rumors of a death during General Hospital May sweeps has been circulating for quite some time. While it is being said that Lucas (Ryan Carnes) will meet his untimely demise, that has not been confirmed. He is supposed to be marrying Brad (Parry Shen) at the Nurses Ball. The two announced it to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) last week, and things seemed to be going well. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Lucas will be called to the hospital for an emergency. Before he is able to make it back, something happens. This is only a rumor at this point, but spoilers have confirmed a body will be found.
Robin (Kimberly McCullough) will be back in town for the Nurses Ball. She left General Hospital earlier this year alongside Jason Thompson. While it was definite that McCullough would return as needed, Thompson left for good. Robin will be giving a speech at the Nurses Ball, and it will touch her deeply. This apparently wasn’t an act for McCullough, who talked about actually getting choked up over memories of her many decades on General Hospital. She is a huge part of the Nurses Ball. Robin lost the first love of her life to AIDS and was diagnosed HIV positive herself. The show has been a huge advocate for awareness and education.
With the dissolution of “Julexis,” some General Hospital fans are furious. The writers have been back and forth with this couple and finally decided to marry them. While it wasn’t always easy, Julian and Alexis have loved each other since the beginning. Spoilers indicate that someone is arrested by Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) at the Nurses Ball. Alexis never did get rid of Julian’s bloodied shirt, and it is being speculated that she will turn it in. She has always been pretty straight and narrow, and she is having a hard time dealing with the betrayal from Julian. If Jordan doesn’t have Julian in cuffs, who else could possibly be in trouble on General Hospital?
Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is still laid up in the hospital and will be unable to escort Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to the Nurses Ball. In his place, Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) will be her date for the night. There was buzz among General Hospital fans that she would be paired up with the new doctor, but no one knew just how or why. The underlying connection he has with Nathan has still not been revealed, and General Hospital fans are waiting to see just how the two know one another.
The upcoming week on General Hospital promises a lot of surprises and returning favorites. The Nurses Ball begins on Tuesday and airs through Thursday, with Monday and Friday being the days used for other storylines.
