Kendall Jenner Urges Her Fans To Skip The Prom Entirely, Just Like She Did, Encourages Women To Be Themselves

Kendall Jenner has been one busy lady recently and has been since she was in her late-teen years. The reality star and model was, in fact, far too busy to even attend her high school prom. However, the brunette beauty has no regrets about not being able to make the event that many look forward to their entire high school lives.

Via her own website, as People shares, Kendall was quite candid about the fact that she is not regretful about missing the event, and actually encourages her fans and followers to skip theirs, too.

“‘Sooo, I’m not sure if you knew this about me, but I didn’t go to prom,’ Jenner’s post began. ‘I feel like – whatever, it’s not that big of a deal! You’re not going to regret it the rest of your life, I can promise you that. If you’re spending the night alone, read on for three options that are totally memorable and fun! Why not use the excuse to veg out in your comfies with classic HS flicks and homemade pizza?'”

The 20-year-old goes on to add that following a “veg-out session,” a bit of self-pampering, is definitely a great option.

“[Estée Lauder] has a ton of amazing options for a luxurious night of pampering. To top off this evening of beauty, get your glow from the inside with a little meditation music, too. Sooo relaxing.”

The massively successful model and reality star then shares how fun it can be to treat yourself with a corsage on the big night, should you choose to go.

“‘Buying YOURSELF flowers can sometimes feel like even more of a gift than when someone else does it,’ she writes. ‘Arranging them is also such a cool creative outlet – [as is ] a one-woman dance party.'”

The beauty then sums up her lesson on “to prom or not to prom?” with some encouraging words to remind young people to be themselves.

“Just remember, you embracing your ‘own thing’ is pretty much the most attractive trait a girl can have. No matter what you do this weekend, have a blast!”

It’s clear that Kendall lives by her own words and is set on standing out from the crowd. The second-youngest daughter of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has managed to stand out from her famous family by doing her own thing and doing it well. Kendall is no longer like her sisters, who are mainly famous for being famous. She has risen to the top as one of today’s top models and shrugs away criticism without a second thought.

It’s tough to believe that the statuesque stunner would ever receive harsh criticism in the fashion world. However, just recently Kendall Jenner was the target of a very dismissive sort of criticism by the designer Calvin Klein himself, along with former supermodel Rebecca Romijn.

Calvin used Kendall as an example of the way he feels the modelling world is changing, and from the sounds of it, that change is a negative one. The Daily Mail shares Klein’s words about Jenner and the industry.

“You know, I’m really not that familiar with Jenner. I’m honestly not, [choosing the Kendall Jenner is] not the kind of thing I would have done, even today.”

The designer then went on to share that although Kendall is a lovely woman, it does not mean that she represents the “essence” of the Calvin Klein brand.

Much like words shared by Rebecca Romijn, who said that Kendall Jenner is not a real supermodel, Klein noted similar points and reasons for saying this.

“Now models are paid for how many followers they have. They’re booked not because they represent the essence of the designer, which is what I tried to do — they’re booked because of how many followers they have online.”

Despite the criticism, Kendall Jenner’s recent campaign for Klein was released this past week and she rocked it.
