300 FBI Agents Raid Drug Ring With Alleged White Supremacy Ties In Indiana


FBI SWAT team agents conducted raids on an alleged drug smuggling ring with ties to white supremacist groups in Indiana during the early morning hours on Wednesday. Approximately 40 alleged Aryan Nations Brotherhood members and associates were arrested during the FBI statewide raid in Indiana. The drug ring with alleged white supremacy ties raids were conducted nearly simultaneously at 15 different locations.

Suspects arrested during the FBI SWAT team drug smuggling raids in Indiana included two black males who allegedly sold heroin and methamphetamines to “gang” members, Before Its News reports. Court documents related to the FBI drug smuggling raids note that multiple Indiana Department of Corrections officers reportedly were involved in the drug ring with possible ties to white supremacist groups.

The FBI operation ran from June 2011 through August 2012 and included the communities of Crawfordsville, Lafayette, and Elkhart. Fox59 News reports that some of those arrested during the FBI SWAT raid included suspects who either have a connection to or are members of the Aryan Nations Brotherhood. In July, the FBI raided the Outlaws Motorcycle Club headquarters in Indianapolis as a part of a crackdown on organized criminal gang activity initiative by US Attorney Joe Hogsett. An investigation and following raid in southern Indiana also garnered four arrests related to an alleged weapons and drugs smuggling ring with ties to Mexico.

Two inmates at an Indiana correctional facility allegedly used cell phones smuggled in by prison officers to run the drug ring, The Associated Press reports. Indiana prison inmates Oscar Perez and Justin Addler are accused of holding a conference call via the smuggled cell phones to try to garner a discount on future heroin buys. Two primary suspects in the FBI drug ring with alleged ties to white supremacy groups remain at large.

Fugitives from FBI raids remain at large.
