See How Kristen Stewart Is Shaking Up The Cannes Red Carpet

Kristen Stewart manages to set herself apart from other actresses in young Hollywood. She doesn’t conform to gender or sexuality norms. She’s always blurring the lines, especially when it comes to her red carpet style.

Kristen Stewart made quite the fashion statement on the Cannes red carpet. Not only did she manage to go braless a few times, but she also debuted her new bleached blonde hair. Stewart stepped out in a sheer black blouse and a full black patterned skirt. Photographers noticed that there was something important missing underneath her blouse: a bra!

The current Chanel spokesmodel walked confidently onto the red carpet for the premiere of of her new film, Café Society. Kristen wore a black sheer blouse that featured two front pockets that strategically covered her breasts. The former Twilight star also wore a matching high-waisted skirt that featured a light green and black beaded pattern. Kristen topped off her look with red lipstick, black Louboutin pumps, and her new bleached blonde bob.

Kristen Stewart is not the only one who’s been rocking a platinum blonde bob lately. Taylor Swift has been going the dark side, debuting her new platinum blonde bob on the May cover of Vogue and at Coachella last month. The singer also took over the Cannes red carpet at the BMI Awards, in which she wore a slinky leopard print gown with pink lipstick and a 90s’-style choker.

Meanwhile, Stewart made another braless debut in a white pencil skirt and matching crop top. She topped off her punk rock look with smudged eyeliner. It was also the time that Stewart decided to kick off her white Christian Louboutin shoes on the red carpet. Stewart was spotted taking off her shoes right on camera, but she didn’t care. She kept on waving to the fans and photographers as she posed on the red carpet, despite the fact that she was suddenly barefoot.

Fortunately, Kristen’s feet looked good. It gave her the chance to show off her fresh black pedicure. It’s obvious that Kristen is not comfortable with wearing high heels on the red carpet. This isn’t the first time that she’s removed her shoes or swapped out heels for Converse sneakers. Kristen also made time to rub elbows with her costar Blake Lively.

The former child stars are currently starring together in Woody Allen’s new film which opened at the festival on Wednesday, May 11. It looks like both Blake and Kristen were having a great time together in Cannes. The actresses were seen in deep conversation with one another. In fact, Blake and Kristen have history with each other. They both appeared on Vanity Fair’s Hollywood’s New Wave issue in 2008, when Blake starred on Gossip Girl and Kristen was ready to star in the Twilight saga.

In a new profile with Variety, Stewart explained that she won’t define her sexuality, but she will defend her right to work with Woody Allen, despite his controversial past. She revealed the thought that she and co-star Jesse Eisenberg shared a while ago.

“I was like, ‘What do you think? We don’t know any of these people involved. I can personalize situations, which would be very wrong.’ At the end of the day, Jesse and I talked about this. If we were persecuted for the amount of s**t that’s been said about us that’s not true, our lives would be over. The experience of making the movie was so outside of that, it was fruitful for the two of us to go on with it.”

Interestingly enough, Jesse told Variety that he has no recollection of the conversation they had. The actress has also been making headlines for hooking up with Miley Cyrus’ ex-girlfriend Stella Maxwell at a Met Gala after-party, shortly after her split from French singer Soko.
