Christina Aguilera Is Leaving ‘The Voice’ As Pink Joins Series As An Advisor

As Christina Aguilera prepares to move on from her role as a coach on The Voice, singer Pink has been added to the show as an advisor for the remaining contestants of Season 10.

In an episode of The Voice next week, Pink will be seen on the series for the very first time as she serves as the “superstar advisor” to the show’s eight semi-finalists.

Also during the episode, P. Diddy and Tori Kelly will act as advisors for Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams, respectively, and that’s not all. As People Magazine revealed on May 9, Patti Labelle will “join the show as an advisor for Christina Aguilera, while Gwen Stefani works as an advisor for boyfriend Blake Shelton.”

Christina Aguilera has been starring on The Voice on and off since the series’ start years ago, but when it comes to her future, nothing is certain at this point, especially considering she and her fiancé, Matt Rutler, are currently working on a new music series which is set to air on Spike TV later this year.

According to reports, Christina Aguilera’s new show, Tracks, is currently listed as a special but has the potential to be turned into a full-time series.

“Having finely tuned my ear for music over the years, I thought it would be fun to test other folks and see if they can identify a track — with a twist — since contestants will have to focus on a single component of a song,” Christina Aguilera said in a statement in March, as revealed by The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m excited to have Tracks debuting on Spike TV, and proud to have this as the first project springing from our first-look deal with Lionsgate.”

During Christina Aguilera’s new show, teams of two will be seen as they attempt to guess the name of songs by listening to individual tracks, and as they do, they will be joined by celebrity guests who will sing songs of their own or songs written by other musicians.

Christina Aguilera began dating Rutler in 2010 after splitting from ex-husband Jordan Bratman, the father of her 8-year-old son, Max, months prior, and in February 2014, the couple became engaged. Since then, Christina Aguilera and Rutler have welcomed their first child, Summer Rain, born August 2014, but have yet to make any official plans to tie the knot.

Instead, Christina Aguilera and her soon-to-be husband, Rutler, are focused on their careers and their family.

“Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call ‘the Sanctuary,’ having a baby, and now being excited to get back to work, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date,” Christina Aguilera explained to E! News last year. “I want to plan it and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed. So when the schedule is more clear and I can take some downtime again, I can focus on that. Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love and commitment.”

“We are enjoying our daughter, our family and our work for now,” she added.

In March, The Wrap confirmed Christina Aguilera and Pharrell Williams would not be featured during the upcoming 11th season of The Voice. Instead, revealed the outlet, they would be replaced by newcomers Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys.
