‘The 100’: Lindsey Morgan On ‘Really Dark’ Season 3 Finale, Returning Characters

The 100 Season 3 finale is titled “Pervasive Instantiation – Part Two.” Lindsey Morgan, who plays Raven Reyes on The CW series, recently spoke about the final episode. She said to expect it to be “really dark” and for fans to see the return of some characters who have been missing for a while.

So far in Season 3 of The 100, viewers struggled to understand how the artificial intelligence storyline would intersect with the Grounders, who are more primitive. That was recently dealt with and now fans want to know what will happen on the season finale. The press release from The CW network didn’t divulge too much information for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two.”

“In the season’s epic and mind-bending conclusion, our heroes begin to face the reality of their tragic situation,” Grounders Source wrote about the Season 3 finale. “Everyone prepares for a final showdown.”

ALIE (Erica Cerra) has become a huge problem for the characters in The 100. Despite attempts to stop ALIE, everything has failed so far. Not only are the Sky Crew failing at eliminating the A.I. threat, but time is also running out. As Raven noticed on the mainframe, ALIE’s code included a building. Morgan’s character also saw thousands of mines.

Raven wanted to deal with ALIE in a previous episode of The 100. However, ALIE was one step ahead and disconnected herself so Raven couldn’t flip the kill switch. Later in that same episode, ALIE’s army ended up in the City of Light. This was a big sign that ALIE was gaining a lot of strength and is close to executing the final step in her plan.

What will happen in The 100 Season 3 finale? Despite the vague synopsis for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two,” there is additional information. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, expect some characters to return in the last few episodes of The 100. Lindsey Morgan confirmed this, adding that it isn’t just Roan who comes back.

“You’ll get caught up with everybody. You’ll get a lot of ends wrapped up. You’ll see a lot of characters you haven’t seen for a while,” Lindsey Morgan teased to TV Guide. “I think the finale is a really great bookend to the entire journey that everyone has been on since Season 1.”

There is a theory that Alycia Debnam-Carey may return as Lexa for The 100 Season 3 finale. There is no confirmation of this, so take the information with a grain of salt. However, if Lexa did come back for “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two,” perhaps fans would be happier with how Lexa left the show.

One way for Lexa to return for the Season 3 finale of The 100 is to name the next Commander. Luna (Nadia Hilker) is the last of the Nightbloods but so far has refused to accept the Flame. Maybe if Lexa comes back she can convince Luna to become the next leader. Since Lexa is dead, she can’t return in human form, but she could appear as a spirit, in a dream or via flashback. Another theory is that Lexa might appear to Clarke to help her keep moving forward.

What do you think is going to happen in The 100 Season 3 finale? Will ALIE finally be stopped in “Perverse Instantiation – Part Two?” Could Alycia Debnam-Carey return as Lexa? What other characters will viewers see come back? Will Luna accept the Flame and become the next Commander? Find out on May 19, when The CW network airs The 100 Season 3 finale.
