Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani Split? She Wants Out Of Her Contract With ‘The Voice’ After Explosive Fight

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been Hollywood’s hottest couple over the past few months. However, now that Stefani is not returning as a judge next season on The Voice, the No Doubt star is reportedly ready to cut ties with the show. Is this a sign of problems between Shelton and Stefani?

An inside source told Radar Online that Stefani had a massive on-set fight after producers hired Miley Cyrus as a judge. Fortunately, it doesn’t appear as though Stefani got into an argument with Shelton. Instead, her beef is centered on NBC executives and Christina Aguilera.

“Gwen is livid that she was not asked to replace Christina on The Voice next season,” the source told the outlet. “And because of this she wants to quit the show altogether. She and Blake seem to feel that Christina was responsible for this because she wanted to piss Gwen off. And it did!”

The Voice is set for some major changes next season. Shelton and Adam Levine are the only judges returning while Cyrus and Alicia Keys are joining the show for the first time. As fans will recall, Stefani took a break from judging this season and was replaced by original judge Christina Aguilera.

Ever since Aguilera took Stefani’s chair, rumors of fighting between the two have surfaced. Once Aguilera announced her departure from the show, fans naturally expected Stefani to return as a judge. Of course, that didn’t happen, and now Stefani’s future with the hit series is under question.

Despite her feuding with NBC executives, Stefani is preparing for a busy summer. According to ET Online, Stefani is gearing up for her first tour in years, which will include some 27 different stops. The last time Stefani toured the states was back in 2007 for her “Sweet Escape Tour.”

“[I haven’t] been on a bus on tour in years!” Stefani told the outlet. “I never dreamed I’d have new music. This record came out of the sky. I mean, out of my heart, up and then out. It’s like the craziest thing.”

Stefani’s tour follows the successful release of her latest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like. The album was created in the wake of Stefani’s divorce from long-time husband Gavin Rossdale and her new relationship with Blake Shelton.

Speaking of her new album, Stefani was honored during a Radio Disney event. In fact, Stefani was awarded the 2016 Ardy Hero Award. According to E! Online, Shelton joined Stefani for the ceremony and proved that he truly is her biggest supporter.

When Stefani was announced as the winner, Shelton led the standing ovation and exchanged a kiss with her before she took the stage to address the crowd.

“This is crazy that this is happening to me! I never thought, I mean who am I, that I would ever make a difference?” Stefani said in her acceptance speech. “I am so honored to be here, I am so honored to be making music.”

In addition to her new album, Stefani also partnered up with Shelton for a special duet on his upcoming album. The two sang together on the track “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which marks the first time they have collaborated on the same album.

“I am excited because I never in my wildest dreams thought I would write a song with that guy,” she shared. “He’s so talented. He’s an amazing writer. Every time I collaborate with anyone I feel like it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. Whenever I collaborate, it lifts me.”
