Kourtney Kardashian On Why She Never Married Scott Disick, Enjoys Fun Time Away

Since Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick called their lengthy relationship quits, Disick has made attempts to rekindle things between him and his ex. However, the mother to his children is not showing any interest and is likely to never return to Scott in any sort of romantic capacity.

The reality star has always kept Disick at arm’s length, even while together and co-parenting. The reasons that Kourtney refuses to return to Disick are the same reasons she was not willing to marry him when they were together.

The two went their separate ways back in the summer of 2015 after photos surfaced of Scott getting close with a woman while vacationing in Monte Carlo. Scott has always been a bit of a playboy and bad boy, yet Kourt stayed by his side. The Monte Carlo incident was the last straw. An insider spoke with Page Six on the subject.

“Scott says he still wants to get back together with her, but hasn’t done anything to prove it Kourtney is over it. She knows she looks amazing and she isn’t putting up with any of his s—t.”

Scott, 32, even had a stint in rehab last year, as Wonderwall reminds, but that hasn’t slowed him down any as he was seen partying alongside Kardashian’s younger sisters, Kylie, 18 and Kendall, 20, at Coachella parties last weekend. The insider went on to share that behavior like that is not the key to winning Kourtney back.

“Kourtney tells him if he wants her back, he needs to show how much he’s changed. But instead he’s out partying at Coachella and will complain to his guy friends about how many rules Kourtney imposes on him. He’s respectful when he hangs out with her family, though.”

Disick has clearly not been entirely rehabilitated, yet friends say that he makes somewhat better decisions when he parties the night away.

“[He]sticks to beer and avoids shots so he doesn’t get too wasted.”

At this point, Kourtney is not concerned with how Scott behaves when he’s out partying around her sisters, seeing as she knows that he keeps things respectful, but she also has moved on and therefore feels that he can do whatever he wants. Friends of the beauty relay that Kardashian “has the upper hand.”

“She doesn’t ask her sisters about Scott’s behavior when he’s out. Her attitude is he can do whatever he wants, but she knows she ultimately has the upper hand and Scott keeps it respectful when he’s around her sisters.”

Kourtney has instead been focusing on herself lately. This past week the reality star celebrated her 37th birthday with family and friends in Iceland.

Kardashian has reportedly become more focused on building her own brand and making herself happy, void of Scott and his drama.

“You can tell the difference in how she’s changed since the split. She’s never been one who is totally driven by money, but now she’s working on building her own personal brand even more.”

When it comes down to it, it seems as though the reason the couple have been kept apart all has to do with Disick’s personal career ambition and his incessant need to party. Recently, insiders noted that Kourtney made it clear that this is why she could never marry Scott in the first place.

“She’s made comments to her family about how his behavior [with money and partying] is exactly why she never married him. He doesn’t really have a job beyond his club appearances and paid Instagram posts and hasn’t given up drinking.”

Scott will, however, always be a part of the Kardashian’s lives seeing as he and Kourtney co-parent their children amicably.
