Kristin Chenoweth Leaves Set of ‘The Good Wife’ Indefinitely After Head Injury

Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth — who you may also know from her stint as the former high-school voice star April on the musical dramedy Glee — was hoping to recover quickly from an injury last month, but the actress has announced that she has to leave the set of the CBS hit The Good Wife until she recovers.

Kristin Chenoweth was injured on the set of The Good Wife while filming back in July. The 44-year-old chanteuse was filming in Brooklyn when heavy winds in the area brought a piece of lighting equipment down on her, striking her and causing a head injury.

Kristin was placed in a neck brace after 911 was called, and then she was transported to a hospital. Since the early July accident, Chenoweth has been working on her recovery, but she has not been able to recover sufficiently to continue her recurring role on The Good Wife at this time.

In a statement to Us Weekly, Kristin Chenoweth told the mag that her injury had forced her to quit the show for the time being, saying:

“It is with deep regret to inform everyone that due to my injuries, I am unable to return to The Good Wife at this time… [I’m] getting better slowly, and thank you everyone for your concern.”

Late in July, Kristin Chenoweth used Twitter to thank fans for support and shout out the cast of the show, saying:

You can catch Kristen Chenoweth in the season premiere of The Good Wife next month.
