Bristol Palin Is Praying For Paul Ryan
Bristol Palin, daughter of former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin, has thrown her two cents into the ring, weighing in on Mitt Romney’s choice for vice president. Palin says she is praying for Paul Ryan and his family following the announcement that Ryan would be accompanying Romney in his challenge to President Obama.
Palin took to her blog just a few hours after Romney selected Ryan and urged her readers to take a minute before passing judgement on him.
Palin wrote:
“Don’t write a word, don’t make a snap judgment, don’t critique the VP choice, don’t exult in its brilliance. Just take a moment and realize that whomever is chosen, he is a person about to go through an ordeal that few people will ever experience. Pray for his family, Pray that he can meet the challenges of the campaign trail without being burned by the spotlight. The next 90 days will be among the most challenging of his life. I’m going to pray for Paul Ryan. Please join me”.
Palin had to go through the intense media scrutiny and public judgement when her mother was chosen as John McCain’s running mate in 2008. During that time, Bristol was pregnant with her son Tripp and a senior in high school.
Palin has managed to stay front and center in the media spotlight since her mother’s failed campaign for vice-president. She has had her own reality show and has been a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She also has been very active in conservative advocacy, drawing scorn for her positions on gay marriage among other causes.
