Harry Styles is going to be a parent? What?

One Direction fans are used to strange, surprising, and shocking rumors about Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson hitting the headlines. Harry Styles has had more than his fair share as the most well-known member and the one who has had the most high-profile relationships.

Remember the sex ban Kendall Jenner allegedly imposed on Harry because she was trying to make him commit to her, according to Sugarscape? Or those rumors that Harry was “so totally in love” with Taylor Swift that he was considering marrying her “next week,” as reported by Hollywood Life?

“How can a baby have a baby?” was the reaction of some Directioners who logged into Twitter today and saw a slew of tweets about Harry Styles welcoming a little one. This would make Harry a dad at 22 and only the second member of One Direction to become a parent following Louis Tomlinson, whose ex-fling Briana Jungwirth gave birth to their son Freddie this year, reports the Mirror.

The tweets declaring that “Harry Styles is pregnant” appeared under the hashtag #CongratulationsHarry. Directioner reactions to the trend revealed a lot about the state of play in the most powerful fandom on the internet.

Some people said that when they first saw the trend, they thought it meant Harry was pregnant with creative ideas — for his film work, his music, his paintings, etc.

Some people got a bit nostalgic, remembering the Harry Styles fatherhood rumor that did the rounds in 2012. Back then, the story was that if it was a girl Harry would name it Anne after his mum, and if it was a boy, the baby would be called Juan Direction Styles.

Some people said they were relieved when they realized it was not because of a new Harry Styles girlfriend rumor.

Some people celebrated Larry.

Others reflected that it was a very silly reason to trend #CongratulationsHarry and said that the boys would feel contempt if they saw it.

Some got protective of Louis Tomlinson and his family and encouraged others not to use the trend as an excuse to hate on Louis and Freddie.

And others took the chance to celebrate the wild and wonderful One Direction fandom and the creative community of Harry Styles-lovers.

In other Harry Styles news, the heartthrob was photographed at Ysabel restaurant in West Hollywood today.

Harry’s eyes have never looked bluer than they did today, when he posed alongside fans and female companions, wearing a fuchsia shirt and white-rimmed glasses. The hunk pulled his hair back into a man-bun, reviving the style he used to wear back in 2013.
