Mr. Robot Season 2

‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Trailer Is Here, People’s Revolution To Follow Shortly [Video]

Season 2 of the popular USA Network show Mr. Robot is coming soon and promises to change the world. Watch the first sneak peek teaser trailer for Season 2, included here.

As reported by The Inquisitr, Rami Malek did warn us a while back that Mr. Robot Season 2 was going to get much tougher, as if Season 1 wasn’t tough enough. Now we start to get a peek into just what he was talking about.

According to the new trailer, included below, it seems our hero Elliot is about to start the People’s Revolution in the upcoming Season 2 of the show. Appearing to channel the activist group Anonymous, Elliot (played by Rami Malek) gives a voice over commentary as the world around him, shown in scenes taken from Season 1, seems to be spinning out of control.

He’s obviously making major plans, however, as Elliot can be seen to be remarkably optimistic about the outlook of things despite the dire scenes surrounding him.

In the trailer, he says, “The future has never been less certain.”

“They use that to scare us, to keep us in line, tell us we’re powerless to do anything about it.”

Pointing out that the powers that be have no idea how much power we have, at one stage Elliot can be seen raising his arms victoriously, saying, “The truth is we have more power than they think.”

He continues, “The power to take action, to choose to do something, anything. Anything than blindly following the herd and accepting that this is just the way things are.”

Saying they can only keep us down if we let them, he adds, “Together, we can change the world, change our future, and there’s nothing they can do to stop us.”

If you are yet to watch Season 1 of Mr. Robot, beware, as some spoilers are included below.

As reported by Indiewire, Season 1 ended with Elliot and F Society throwing the world into economic chaos. At the center of the chaos is E Corp, the evil corporation itself, whose tech executive ends up having no choice but to kill himself while appearing on live TV.

However, despite this major victory, shady characters continue to lurk around our hero Elliot – either in real life or maybe only in his rather unusual head – so there is sure to be much more excitement to come.

While the Mr. Robot character was relatively shy and withdrawn during Season 1, it seems things are about to change in Season 2. Elliot appears to be speaking out for the everyday man on the street and fighting in the People’s Revolution, as he promises to change the world as we know it today.

Following Season 1, Mr. Robot won USA its first Golden Globe award in January this year. At those awards, Christian Slater (in the role of Elliot’s father) won the award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a TV series, beating out some heady competition in Alan Cumming (The Good Wife), Damian Lewis (Wolf Hall), Ben Mendelsohn (Bloodline), and Tobias Menzies (Outlander). The show itself well-deservedly won the award for Best Television series – Drama.

While the date is not yet set for Season 2 to start, Mr. Robot will be back on our screens during summer.
