Taylor Swift’s ‘Feud’ With Carrie Underwood — The Truth About Their ‘Drama’

Are Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood really locked in a nasty feud?

According to a new report by Radar Online, Swift and Underwood have long not seen eye-to-eye and their supposed bad blood is now boiling over due to a recent “diss.”

The gossip site is claiming that “things have become icier than ever between” Carrie and Taylor in recent months after Swift allegedly overheard Underwood describing her year-long romance with DJ Calvin Harris as a “faux-mance.”

“Normally, Taylor wouldn’t care too much about backstage babble, but Carrie really rubs her the wrong way,” the site’s insider claimed, adding that “there has never been any love between Taylor and Carrie.”

The site’s source even claimed that things really turned sour between Carrie and Taylor after Underwood joked about Swift and her past romances while co-hosting the CMA Awards with Brad Paisley in 2013.

“The greatest trade of the year had to be the Kennedy family. They somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenegger for Taylor Swift,” Underwood and Paisley joked at the country music awards show about Swift’s recent split from Patrick Schwarzenegger.

Underwood then whispered to Brad that the two had in fact broken-up, to which Brad replied, “What? Why don’t I ever hear about these things? I’m the last one to know. Are they ever going to get back together?” “Never, never, never, never, never ever,” Carrie Underwood hit back, referencing Taylor Swift’s break-up anthem “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

The camera noticeably didn’t pan to Swift following Carrie and Brad’s joke. Taylor claimed during an interview with the New York Times that “they don’t pan to you if you’re not laughing.”

Us Weekly also stirred up rumors that the two weren’t exactly best friends back in 2013, claiming that Taylor and Carrie’s teams had requested that they sit far away from each other when it was announced that both would be attending the Grammy Awards that year.

An insider supposedly told the gossip site at the time that the Grammy crew were asked to keep the two “from crossing paths” at the big awards show, though a Grammy representative denied those reports and clarified that “no requests were received from either artist” ahead of the awards show.

So, is there really a feud between Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift?

Despite Radar Online and Us Weekly‘s recent claims, Underwood and Swift have long dispelled rumors that they’re locked in any kind of feud.

Carrie Underwood denied reports that there was bad blood between herself and Taylor Swift back in 2013, admitting “not that I know of!” when asked if there was any truth to the rumors that they don’t exactly get along.

Carrie made the admission in an interview with Gayle King on CBS This Morning, where she even revealed her favorite of Swift’s impressive catalog of hits.

“I really like ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ it sounded a lot different for her,” Underwood said of Taylor on the popular CBS morning show, where she also confessed that she was a fan of Swift’s new pop sound. “I liked the branching out, trying some different sounds,” the “Smoke Break” singer said at the time.

Gossip Cop is also busting the latest round of Swift and Underwood feud claims.

An insider close to Swift confirmed that the supposed drama between herself and Carrie is now, and always have been, non-existent. The source told the site this week that “there is no feud” and any reports claiming that Underwood and Swift are feuding are “not true.”
