Khloe Kardashian?? And Lamar Odom Divorce Proceedings Finally Moving Forward

Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have technically been married since 2009, but the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is finally ready to finalize their separation. According to People, a source close to the couple claims that Khloe is now ready to continue with the divorce proceedings.

“She doesn’t agree with some of Lamar’s choices in the past few weeks,” according to the unnamed source. “She plans on re-filing for divorce soon. She and Lamar are just figuring out the finances first.”

In late 2015, Odom was hospitalized after he was found unconscious in a brothel, and was in a coma for four days. It was then that Khloe decided to put their divorce on hold, as she rushed to the hospital to be by his side. She was going to help him through his recovery process after he awoke, however she made it clear that the two would not be getting back together.

“Khloe was there for Lamar when he needed her,” continues People‘s source. “She spent months making sure he got the best care and was able to recover. Lamar was her main focus, and it was draining for her. Lamar is ready to be on his own now.”

Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian will remain friends, it seems, even though the reason Khloe is ready to proceed with the divorce now is because Lamar was recently out drinking with his friends. Lamar, 36, has been getting back into the swing of his regular, routine life after his recovery, and he and his buddies went to a bar in Los Angeles. Odom must have been overdoing it a little bit, because Khloe was not happy about it. This behavior had Kardashian worried and apparently Odom wasn’t listening to her concerns.

Kardashian left a somewhat cryptic message on her Instagram account, with an incredibly long message written in the caption for the photo. In this post, Khloe doesn’t mention Lamar by name, but it’s hard to imagine that it wasn’t brought on by her feelings towards him and his behavior.

But in this message, Khloe states that the decisions of others are nobody’s responsibilities but their own. From the looks of it, Khloe tried to keep Odom on the straight-and-narrow, but she ultimately decided to stop helping someone who did not want help.

Khloe and Lamar met at a party she was throwing for his then-basketball teammate, Ron Artest. The two fell in love rather quickly and were already married only one month after they first met. Sources close to Kardashian claimed at the time that the rushed wedding ceremony was put in place for their reality TV series — “drama for the cameras.” Well, despite the fact that the two married so quickly, their marriage lasted roughly six years.

In 2013, speculation was already swirling that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom were separated or were eventually going to separate. But in December of that year, Khloe made their divorce official when she filed for restoration of her surname. In July of 2015, both Lamar and Khloe had signed the divorce papers, but their divorce never received its final approval from a judge. During that long stretch of time where the two were separated in 2014, Khloe met and began dating rapper French Montana on and off for several months.

Khloe’s most recent relationship was with basketball player James Harden. The two began dating in June of 2015, one month before Lamar and Khloe signed their divorce papers, and broke up just a couple of months ago in February. Apparently, the relationship just fizzled out due to their hectic schedules and not seeing each other very often.

Oddly enough, news of the Odom/Kardashian divorce comes just when Khloe’s brother, Rob Kardashian, has proposed to model and entrepreneur Blac Chyna. The two had only been dating for three months.
