Kate Middleton Pregnant: Report Claims Duchess Kate Expecting Baby No. 3, Calling Off Plans To Attend Rio Olympics

Kate Middleton is reportedly pregnant again, with reports claiming that Duchess Kate found out just ahead of the royal couple’s planned trip to India and Bhutan.

The report, which came from Life & Style Weekly, claimed that Kate Middleton is thrilled with the new development and that she and Prince William are already planning to move into a new home that will better accommodate the new family of five.

A source told the media outlet that the third pregnancy for Kate Middleton and Prince William wasn’t exactly part of their plan.

“To be honest, it was an accident and a total surprise,” said the source, reportedly a friend close to the family. “They hadn’t wanted a third child for a couple of years, but now that it has happened, she and William are thrilled.

Celeb Dirty Laundry filled in some more details about the rumored royal pregnancy, including how it will affect Kate and William’s travel plans for this summer.

“A source divulged to Life & Style Weekly that Kate’s pregnancy won’t stop her from going to India and Bhutan. Good thing since the Cambridge’s are leaving for the official visit on April 10! But sadly, the Duchess of Cambridge’s plans to travel to Rio de Janeiro for the Summer Olympics will be nixed.

“Once again a source says Kate Middleton and Prince William wanted to wait at least another year or two before welcoming another child. But, it just happened! Surprise! Kate’s going to have another baby!”

Hollywood Life claimed that Kate Middleton had to cancel the 2016 Olympic plans out of fear of the Zika virus, which has been linked to birth defects in pregnant women.

This is far from the first time that rumors have claimed Kate Middleton is pregnant. Every few weeks, a different celebrity news outlet seems to have a source close to the royal family claiming that Duchess Kate is preparing for her third baby.

Some reports claim that members of the extended royal family are putting a bit of pressure on Duchess Kate and Prince William to have another baby — namely Kate’s mom.

The Hollywood Gossip reported last summer that Carole Middleton is taking on a larger and larger role in their lives and has been pushing for Kate and William to extend their family.

“That’s right, Kate’s mom – not any member of Prince William’s royal family – is the one urging the Duchess of Cambridge to keep crankin’ ’em out.

“Her first two pregnancies captivated the world, stimulated the British economy hard and generally made Kate and all things close to her look swell.

“Carole, meanwhile, is seen by many observers as the quiet orchestrator behind the scenes of Kate’s subtle but firm break from royal family tradition.”

If Kate Middleton is really pregnant for the third time, then she and William appear to be making an odd choice by sticking to their plans to visit India and Bhutan. Duchess Kate suffered from extreme morning sickness in each of her first two pregnancies that was often debilitating, and it would seem strange for her to travel so far from home.

The couple will also be leaving their two children behind, which maternity nurse Sarah Dixon said would be a strain on the couple.

“It’s often harder on the parents than it is on the children,” said Dixon, who has worked with friends of Kate and William.

For her part, Kate Middleton has not addressed the rumors that she is pregnant.
